We finally read this today after it sitting around since before Christmas. This book came with a kit that included little pieces of reptiles that could be stuck together to make either the common reptiles one knows, lizards, alligators and such, or, in the case of my daughter, a allizagator. Pretty fun stuff either way. (The allizagator still sits on my end table since she made it months ago.)
The kit itself is far more fun than reading the book of course. But the book is engaging without being boring. There is a little fact section about each and a longer, more broad section also. The illustrations are so-so.
