The rhymes, some old favorites and some less familiar, will all be new to the youngest readers; once heard, they will be read and remembered for many years. The artist, Frank Baber was born in Bolton, England. He has spent all his working life as a practicing artist, working in such varied fields as advertising illustration, textile design, the theater, architecture, portrait painting, and book illustration. His pictures have been exhibited by the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Royal Society of British Artists, and the Manchester Academy.
