This is a simple, but well-written story of the life of a fascinating man. It is told from the point of view of his son, which helped my children to identify with the events. It is lively and kept our interest to the end, though it is written for early readers.
CONTENT WARNING: One chapter describes Hudson’s crew fighting with Indians, and several men were killed. Also, the story of Hudson being set adrift bothered my sensitive child.
