Informative book for children about the various Apollo missions. I read this after going to the New Mexico Museum of Space in Alamogordo, having seen an IMAX cut of the New documentary film, Apollo 11, and seeing exhibits about the Apollo 11 mission.

This book is very thorough in sharing the whole story of the Apollo mission, from Apollo 1 to Apollo 18 but for an early reader to read on his own. The photographs are terrific. This isn't a "living book" but nonetheless it filled my son's need to learn many of the interesting details about the Apollo project and the "Space Race". The next day after reading we went to the Air and Space Museum and he started showing dh and I all the information he learned from this book. I'd say it's a must read: I learned a lot of new things myself from this little book.
