The Painted Verse
The Painted Verse, as the name suggests, is an amalgamation of poems and paintings, two different, yet complementary arts. The book comprises 50 compositions. Each composition in this book is enriched by the coming together of these powerful mediums of expression. The poet and the painter weave a rich fabric of colors and words, inspired by nature and its beauty, love, pain, joy and the innermost feelings of humankind. The book has found a place in the India Book of Records for its uniqueness in fusion of two art forms.

Had been very eager to read "The Painted Verse" by Preeta Chandran (poet) and Pankaj Rohilkhandvi (Painter). As the name suggests, it is a perfect amalgamation of verses with paintings.
About paintings: Every painting is so beautiful that you wish to keep seeing it again and again. It's a real treat to the eye. Most of the paintings use water colours and the painter doesn't fail to charm in any of them.
About the poems: Written in simple language, the poems touch the heart. Written on a myriad of topics, the poet leaves you spellbound as you turn page after page.
Overall, the paintings and the verses are a perfect blend and I loved the book.

As I read the blurbs by eminent poets and artists, like Mr. Keki N Daruwalla, Anne Cameron Cutri, and the foreword by none other than Mr. Soli Sorabjee, I was filled with a sense of pure joy, and as I looked at the compositions in the book, the joy just consumed me. A very worthwhile investment, this book.
