This is the second Pimsleur language program I've completed (having done Swedish and a little Spanish), and I'm pretty happy with them. They don't give you a very broad vocabulary or explain much grammar, but they get you talking a lot and that's a good thing.
The Pimsleur courses are a bit weird, in that they seem to always put you in the role of an American man picking up foreign women. One way that the Danish course is great is that it turns this into a 5-hour long joke on men who think that women exist just to be available to them.
In the end the man who has spent the whole course inviting the woman out for drinks or even suggesting they have dinner at her place becomes confused when she refuses to go out with him. He keeps suggesting different times, thinking it's just a scheduling problem, so she ends the lesson with the rejoinder "Du forstår ikke dansk, og du forstår ikke mig." (You don't understand Danish, and you don't understand me." Hilarious.
I don't think is available on Audible anymore. I grabbed it a few years ago, and finally got around to listening to it. The new book is Level 1 instead of Phase 1. Level 1 is longer, and is organized more effectively. I've started Level 1 as of June 28 2016.
