An excellent book full of great pictures of the long gone London docks. I come from a family of dockers so have found this book relevant and interesting. I like to dip into from time to time and dicover more about how life was back then for the dockers and other waterside labourers. The text is fairly limited but the photographs are excellent. A great piece of social history.

Rare book given to me by a former Thames Lighterman from whom I also learned river lore that will NEVER make it onto the disinternst [stet]. fascinating insight into London's Dock heyday.
