Coming face-to-face with the man responsible for her mother’s death wasn’t exactly on Cordy Jameson’s bucket list but now it has her questioning everything she thought she knew. With strange dream-like visions haunting her waking hours and an evil presence hunting her while sleeping, she can't afford to let her guard down. Unfortunately she does just that with the one person she shouldn't. Now stuck between the boy who lied to her and the one who believes she is an angel, she has to make the hardest decision of her life while trying to save those she cares for. Not giving up on Cordy, Reid Shaw digs into things best left in the past. Questioning everything he was taught, Reid must come to terms with who the real demons are in a world full of shadows, or risk not only losing Cordy, but everything he holds dear. As the amulet is found piece by piece, will Cordy have the strength and courage to do what’s needed to save the world from an evil it’s not ready for? Who do you believe when everyone you trust is lying?

I have always had a love of books. I was the kid you saw walking down the hall with her nose in a book, the one who read under her desk while the teacher taught, and the one who had already read all the required reading assignments just for fun. I'll read anything that stands still long enough...including the backs of shampoo bottles, should I get bored enough!

I live in the Four Corners area with my (very patient) husband, our three children, and a big black cat.

I am repped by the amazing Serendipity Literary Agency and am currently working on multiple projects because that's just how I roll. :)

I adore the main character of this book, Cordy! This book was a great ending to a fun, adventurous, fantastical, romantic, two-part series.

After reading “Let Her Sleep” in 2015, I impatiently awaited this second installment for over two years, and once I got my hands on it, I couldn’t put it down. It was so great to finally have a conclusion to the story of the amulet, and the perfectly-wrapped-up ending has me doubting that this series will have a third installment (although I would really like one). The well-paced plot was exciting without rushing, and I could easily lose myself in Wagner’s well-described world full of complex and interesting characters. My only gripe with this book would have to be some grammatical issues, including the alternation between ‘Jameson’ and ‘Jamison’ in some chapters. Overall, “When She Wakes” lived up to the quality of the first novel while giving a satisfying conclusion to one rollercoaster of a story.

This was a great second book. No boring middle book here. A lot happened in this one. And very well written. It progressed very well with twists and turns in almost every chapter. And the characters were well developed, with the exception of a few new characters. I bet we see more of them in the next book. Overall, very entertaining.

The ending of this story stopped at a point that seems to me could have been the ending of the series. However, I think there will be a third book and I'm excited to see where that takes our characters. Basically, no cliff hanger in this book. yay!

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Never slow. Always awesome. This is a great second instalment of The Dream Walkers Chronicles. Right from page one the story is gripping and engaging, I could not put it down, even though i have exams that i should probably study for. A lot is revealed about the characters, adding depth and emotion to the story. When expected to go one way, the story line takes a completely different path that I didnt even know existed. The best part? No cliffhanger ending!
