It's a mishmash of various authors' expounding on the subject of vampires. One priest from the Victorian era who was trying to fit lore of vampires into his theology. (Square peg in a round hole!) There really was only two good chapters. I'm glad I found a free pdf file online, because I would have been annoyed if I paid good money for this. There a few historical accounts in here and various folk ways to dispose of vampires. Although one of the best bits was vampiric vegetables, specifically pumpkins and watermelons.

zbiór różnych prac, obawiam się że początek nawet nie zahaczał o wampiry, niektóre były tak męcząco nieczytelne że szkoda gadać, ale kilka ciekawych czy nowych sie znalazło. musiałam za to przeklikac trochę stron bo pod koniec, randomowo, wrzucone jest tu opowiadanie family of the vourdalak, a ja je juz dobrze znam. mniej slavs niż bym chciala, niestety.

ran across this when i was a horror movie obsessed eighth grader. most of it was over my head at the time but its a good recounting of the real beliefs of traditional slavs. bela lugosi doesn't even come close.
