This must be the most detailed biography of William Carey available - and it is only the first of two volumes. It was written by John Clark Marshman, the son of Carey's co-worker Joshua Marshman, and is therefore full of first-hand accounts, dealing in detail not only with Carey, but also with all of the events and people related to the mission in India.
