I Loved this book so much, I don't know why, but Now that I'd finished it, I want to re-read the kite runner so bad...

I actually love reading diaries, It's like my most preferable type, I feel that they're more close to me than any other literature, And this one, Yalda's diary is so captivating, It talks about a lot of great subjects, War in Afghanistan, Pakistan, the refugees, how War did changed their lives and the sacrifices they had to make...

All those things are written and described by Yalda, the Afghani girl who will get the chance to study in France, the islamic girl who will face the occident all by herself...

This is really a great book, I enjoyed every second of it, and if you're into this kind of readings just go ahead... I do wholly recommend it.

It was fascinating to read the outlook of a young afganistan woman moving to France at the age of 17. From her first dealings with an elevator to her views on the french consumer society every quips of her diary are full of wonder.
A very real and very touching account of a young woman trying to fit in, and yet missing her country and her family, and her experiences until she comes back to them.
Beautifully written, honest, and captivating.
