Он не смог устоять перед ее красотой. Но сможет ли волшебство зеркала подарить Избране настоящую любовь?
This is part 2 of Zimnobor's story. His attempt to divert the attention from himself by one of the fates, the Maiden of the Future, rescue his long-thought dead bride and try to restore the princedom after his sister's short rule. The latter is what takes him the better part of the book.
His sister, despite being a villain of the previous book is shown in a more sympathetic light. If not for the fact that she is female, a fact that no-one was letting her forget during her rule she is smart, fair and knowledgeable. Too bad, that in those times, being a female ruler invites disobedience from her vassals. After losing the war to her brother, whom she equally loves and hates for being born male she ends up in a small princedom decimated by an internal struggle after their rules dies. It's during her stewardship that she meets a Varyag (Norseman) whose story is so similar to her own that she wonders if the fates brought them together on purpose. Together they face a war, but her biggest challenge is reconciling with her brother.
During the course of the book Zimnobor meets other characters whose story will be continues in the sequels of the book. This book wasn't as good as the previous one, but the breadth of it did make up some of the choppiness.
