It's Christmas at The Thistle & Hive Inn and Edna Campbell couldn't be happier. She's sent all of her time traveling friends and their families a special invitation to meet at the bridge on December 22, where they'll be transported through time from the year 1516 to present day Glendaloch, Scotland. It should be a joyful celebration, but things may not go exactly as planned when sixteenth century highlanders and their twenty-first century wives invade this small village.
What a wonderful magik Christmas read. In this book you have witches and time traveling higlanders, family, friends young and old. This was an interesting read one that will have you going back and reading each couples stories. The Little ones in this story will have you smiling ear to ear and the love every shares is just a good feeling. All characters were wonderful except Ashley her and her anxiety was a bit much but as a new mom in 1516 with no modern medicine and immunizations seeing a future that has all that would be tempting to keep my baby safe. All in all a decent read.
Edna wants to see all of those she holds dear in her heart and those she helped along the way, to find their way. So she invites every single one of them to the future. hahaha... Oh what a wonderful time for Christmas, with all the wee ones, and all the adults, it is amazing no one gets lost.
Robert wants to make a shower for his home in the past, and what his wife says in return was so darn funny... a no, I am not going to say what it was. And of course you have all the children who just want to have some fun. So much is going on, that I have no idea where to start. So I will just say get the book, it is cute, and it is funny, but yes, there are some serious emotional things going on as well.
I am so happy I had the opportunity to get this story as with all the rest of Jennae's books. All of them are so well worth the time and money. You really won't be sorry, I wasn't.
It's Christmas at The Thislte and Hive In and Edna Campbell couldn't be happier. She sent all of her time traveling friends and their families a special invitation delivered by Beira herself to meet at the bridge on December 22, where'll they'll be transported through time from the year 1516 to present day Glendoloch. It should be a joyful occasion, but things just mat not go exactly as planned when sixteenth century highlanders and their 21st century tribes invade this small village. Jeanne Vale deos it again She is a incredibly gifted time travel author who knows who to keep your attention in one fell swoop. I bought and read book 1, book 2, book 3, book 4, and then this one. I have also bought book 5. I love it how Miss Vale keeps using the same charters and giving them their own book because it makes you feel like you are a part of this wonderful medevial/modern family. She is a master story teller and trust me when I say if you love time travel this is the series for you
Yes this story was definitely a Christmas Treat from Jennae Vale. The storyline was absolutely wonderful. Ms Vale has an unforgettable writing style that keeps you wanting more stories. This book was a fun story to read and I believe you will find a strong similarity between the author and the character of Marissa. Highly recommend.

Cute for Christmas. Jeanne fills in the story line with a bit of fluff. Lots of sweet innuendos of behind door goings on. But very G rated as I recall. Ties in book 4 to books 6 and on. Fast Lite read.
What an amazing short story for Christmas time. I read so far all the books in the beginning of this series, and putting everybody together is just a nice touch. kinda wish my holidays would be just like this.
