The book is teaching you crochet very easily and the information are so clear, but there's one thing that I believe it may be a mistake in this book which is (Single Crochet) they didn't show it like other books, when you start the single crochet and after you insert the hook in the second chain as shown in step 3, you should slide the hook through the two loops from the beginning not from the first loop then and bring over the yarn and slide through the two loops you get as in step 6.
