I love paranormal books, movies…..and I do like Ms. Allentown’s series. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is ‘every single book she writes’ the main female, come hell or high water is going to get shot and in a couple of instances stabbed, bar none. I don’t understand why she insists that this be the case …the stories are good enough without her heroine always getting shot. I’ve read a dozen of her books and not a one leaves the female unscathed. Other than that…good stories.
I found these to be more like afterthoughts and not nearly as much fun as the first four. I think that there were other characters that I would of loved to have seen carried through and I had a tough time not being disappointed with the time gap, felt like the author just wanted to be done with this family and move on to another story line.
