Jeannette grew up in a large family, number ten out of eleven children, eight of them being older brothers. She quickly developed a great sense of humor, mostly from necessity. One of her greatest joys is sitting on the porch where they were all raised and hearing the stories from years gone by. Quietly laughing to herself, she notices how they embellish the stories more and more each year.

Storytelling was passed down from her grandfather and mother. Jeannette caught the bug at a very young age. If she didn’t have her head in a book, then she was off somewhere with a notebook, jotting down stories of what she would write if one day she became an author. Although the notebook may have vanished, the stories are still vivid and waiting for the right time to be told.

Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in her life, including the loss of loved ones. Over the years, Jeannette has spent countless hours volunteering for different organizations and acting as a caregiver to those dearest to her. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.

As she approached a milestone birthday in 2015, she decided to take her passion for writing and blend it with her desire to continue to help others. As she writes her stories, she hopes they touch someone’s life. Within the layers of the romance, the foundation remains throughout and is one that is dear to her; make a difference in someone’s life each day!

In 2016 she met someone who encouraged her to push herself even further and try her hand at spicy intrigue. One year later she has four books in this new series and each one pushing her limits just a bit further.

Like the wind, Jeannette’s life changed directions several times over the years, yet one constant remains: her desire to leave this Earth a little better than when she entered it as she tries to live by these words, Make your mark on the world today as your acts of kindness is all anyone will remember in years to come!

Spectacular read!!!! Jeannette Winters has written a very emotional roller coaster journey that has your feelings soaring in every direction threw ever page you read. I'm not going to explain the characters but I am going to say they are some of the most amazing characters I had the pleasure to read about. All I have left to say is grab the tissue box a glass of wine and brace yourself for a fantastic journey

This is the third book in the Southern Desires Series and it follows Don Farrell and Bailey Tasca.

Meet Don Farrell. Don has always believed in working hard and playing harder. The one thing that Don took seriously was business. Suddenly Don finds out there's a target on his back. That's only made Don more determined to succeed. The characters in this book kept me rooted to my seat, engaged during the whole story. Be prepared for an engaging and emotional journey as you follow Bailey and Don in this gripping story.

Meet the lovely Bailey Tasca. Bailey had always been confident, strong and outgoing. Bailey's tomorrow's had always been filled with dreams. Dreams that she believed that someday she would make it big as a comedian. Suddenly Bailey's laughter and carefree nature stopped the day her doctor told Bailey the results: cancer. Now Bailey struggles to find herself again.

When Don and Bailey finally meet up again at a Mark and Hannah’s wedding. The one and only thing was that neither Don and Bailey wanted to find was that they still had chemistry they’d shared in the past now even more explosive.

Don realizes it doesn’t matter what he achieves. Don believes if Bailey is not by his side to share it then it's definitely not worth it. Can Don reach Bailey as she's hiding behind her high walls of insecurities and self doubt? Bailey must now learn to let go of her newly and acquired inhibitions and Bailey learns to open herself up; both emotionally and physically. That's if Bailey ever wants her happily ever after. Can Don & Bailey's love help heal even the deepest wounds?

This book truly hit home for me as I have had family who has suffered breast cancer, some survived, and they found it hard to accept what was happening just like Bailey does. A big heartfelt thank you to Author Jeannette Winters for writing real life issues with such finesse and fact, yet still writing an amazing story.

This book is available in both the original version and a sweet version.

There should be an option for more than 5 stars as i would definitely give her more but have to settle for 5

I really liked this book. It picked up right where book 1 left off. The development of the characters and how they both helped each other grow and learn what they each needed was fantastic. The chemistry of the characters was undeniable. I look forward to the final book in the series to see where it goes and how it all ties up.

Good but tense

I feel tired out but I really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to the next one and hoping there are more to come but that soon this particular terrorist plot ends. There is always others but this one is getting hard on the nerves.

Jeannette Winters - Southern Delight (Southern Desires Series Book 3)

We met Don Farrell in Book 2 Southern Exposure with his best friend Mark Collins. After he and Mark finished Hannah’s Homestead, he once again focused on work. He couldn’t get his mind off Bailey Tasca, Hannah’s best friend. What no one knew was that they spent 1 week together and it is the first-time Don thought about someone that he could care about. But, he tried to reach her for the first couple months and finally gave up.

It is now six months since Bailey talked to Don. He is in her dreams and she even plays some of his voice mails just to hear his voice. Bailey doesn’t want anyone to know that she had cancer and a single Mastectomy. Her hair is gone and her confidence is “gone” She would prefer to crawl into a hole and not come out.
Bailey believes she will never be the same and is “damaged goods” and will never let Don see her again. One problem, Hannah and Mark are getting married and she is the Maid of Honor and Don is the Best Man. She decides that she needs a boyfriend and Mark volunteers his brother Brian Collins (Marines) to pretend to be her boyfriend.

Even with Brian being a buffer, the chemistry between Bailey and Don is off the charts. Don, however, now has a target on his back from the same group that was in Texas then Savannah Georgia and now in Buffalo, NY at his HQ. He must stay away from Bailey to protect her.

Find out if there is even a chance for Bailey and Don, or is it in everyone’s best interest to walk away.

What Didn’t Work:
Same as book 1 and 2: (A) Too much inner dialog. A lot of it should be spoken to the person in front of them. (B) Same as book 1 & 2; is it possible that Brian, Mark’s brother, a Marine, can work this case with Mark when there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight? (C) Typo and grammar errors.

You're Radiant Inside Out!!!

Bailey Tasca was Hannah Entwistle's ( SOUTHERN EXPOSURE ) best friend. She was a confident and bubbly woman who had dreams to become the greatest star ever. But those dreams were shattered when she was diagnosed with cancer in the preview book.

After that life changing diagnosis, Bailey lost a part of herself that she didn't think she could ever get back. That was until Don Farrell, Mark Collins' ( SOUTHERN EXPOSURE ) best friend made it his mission to show her that she had a lot to offer.

Don Farrell, a billionaire playboy who loved to work and play hard, he never cared about taking any relationship seriously. All that changed to moment he met Bailey Tasca.

It was love at first sight, she was funny, fierce, confident and oh so breathtakingly gorgeous. She changed after the cancer and Don wasn't about to let her close herself off from the world especially not from him.

Despite Hannah and Mark's big day, the terrorists and FEMA weren't taking a break. Don put himself in the line of fire in order to get some information that Mark and his team needed.

Bailey who'd just realized that she was madly in love with Don didn't want him to put himself in danger to keep them safe. Even though she also knew that he wouldn't stop his recon come what may. Don would rather die than let any harm come to Bailey or the Collins.

SOUTHERN DELIGHT is the third book in Jeannette Winters' SOUTHERN DESIRES series. As someone who has lived with a cancer patient, I can totally understand where Bailey was coming from.

Loved how Jeannette Winters touched the depth of Bailey's emotions, this book hit close to home and I can honestly say that the author did a magnificent job. Two thumbs up!

Jeannette Winters totally blew me away with this one!! Southern Delight book #3 in the Southern Desire Series is a winner in my book. Bailey Tasco our heroine in this book is dealing with having gone through surgery for breast cancer and having a breast removed and losing her hair. Bailey is full of insecurities about how her body looks now and not wanting to let any man get close to her. Enter Don Farrell who 6 months earlier Bailey had a hot encounter with at a mutual friend's wedding. Since this encounter Don can't get Bailey out of his mind and even though she has been avoiding him, he is still interested and very determined to pursue Bailey. Now another wedding is coming up and Bailey is the Maid of Honor and Don is Best Man and Bailey cannot avoid seeing Don again. I really encourage you to get this book to see what happens when Bailey and Don meet up again, can Bailey resist Don,can Bailey and Don reach their HEA? What about Bailey's decoy boyfriend Kevin? Throw in the mystery from the previous 2 books(which I encourage you to read) and totally interesting supporting characters makes for a great read. I really liked how Jeannette Winters tackled the subject of breast cancer, the feelings associated with it, the physical aspect of this horrible disease and the feelings a woman goes through, just not the physical changes but also the emotional toll. I really liked how this story had Bailey realizing she IS a desirable woman! Thank You for tackling this subject with realism Jeannette.

Among Jeannette Winter's novel, I think this is my favorite now. I love the development of the story between Don and Bailey continuing from where they left off from the previous book. I like how's Don character grew from who he was in the second book and all throughout the story. I love how Bailey got up from the pit she was in and even came out stronger than she was before.

Not only was Don and Bailey's story romantic, but it was also very inspiring. The characters were flawed and very human but they have shown strength too. Now I am very much curious about Kevin. I felt like there is more to him than what was shown of him in this book and I can't wait to find out more about him so hopefully his story will be next.

WOW! What an absolute fantastic story! A perfect way to redefine your thought process to be happy and live… all while dealing with cancer! What an emotional roller coaster on all sides. I love how the story shows adding a rescue pet can really help out during troubled times for us. I feel everyone has been touched by knowing someone, either distant or close that had or still has cancer. This is a nice book to share. 18+ with the sexy bedroom scenes but worth more than only 5 stars!!

Great story...

So glad Bailey was on the track to healing emotionally. I'm enjoying the mystery that is slowly being solved, but I hope the resolution is revealed in the next book, Southern Regions.

Romantic story of finding strength from within.
When we last saw Bailey and Don things were different - circumstances, relationship and appearances.
This is a story of the journey of love, what it endures and how it strengthens.
