There are no accidental players in Ivan's life, and the next betrayal seems to becoming from the last person that he believed that he could trust.
After Cerys has left him to return to Eden, Ivan finds himself lost and wanting to advance into his Purpose. However, his fallen leaders Zan and Cassius are still out to manipulate and direct his life according to their plan. Ivan uncovers more and more of the deviousness against him as his fallen mission is starting to prove to be too much for him to continue.
The call for his salvation is pulling at him, especially when he uncovers that his adoptive mother, Kim is also part of the fallen plan.
I was born in Spain and grew up mostly in Europe. My father was in the USAF, which I just love. He was a broadcast journalist in the USAF!
I went to the University of Florida- Go Gators! Hence my book GATOR GIRLS (GO AND GET AT AMAZON BOOKS)
I work as a Financial Analyst and write on the side, but I like to believe it is the other way around because I am always writing stories in my head all day long.
I love my life and think that each day I am blessed more and more.
I do have inner demons that I unleash inside of my books.
I want to live a Norman Rockefeller type of life in Mayberry and watch re-runs of Donna Reed and I Love Lucy all day.
I love working because it gives me creativity and balance.
Finance is one of the most difficult jobs in the world because you constantly have to tell people bad news about money and basically nobody wants to hear bad news when it comes to money. They only want money to rain from the sky daily and the funnel to never turn off.
I work extremely hard and not for the money. I play extremely hard and that is why I work hard.
I LOVE DISNEY WORLD! It is absolutely my favorite place to be... I would live there if I could afford it and I pray that one day can afford it because I am moving in and I will never leave.
I have to say, the fact I jumped in mid-series did not, in any shape or form, stop me from fully immersing myself in the story, and fully enjoying it. From the get-go, I loved the author's vivid descriptions, and detailing of the world. I find it's very important when talking about different worlds, to always develop them fully, and this was done very, very well within the book.
I have issues with one of the main characters. Not to an extent that it affects my rating of the book, obviously, but I simply cannot fathom how a guy so in love, like Ivan, would do some of the things he does - it kind of drove me nuts. But in a good way, hence why it didn't affect my rating.
I loved some of the author's takes on life, I find there's lots of good moral points made. Example: “It would take an act of God for humans to believe what stared them in their face as the truth, and most of them stood to miss even that.” Also, there is the subject of unequal relationships deeply embedded within the story, ie. where one partner accepts you as you are, and the other wants to change you.
My heart squeezed for Cerys & Ivan, the two main leads, and their Romeo & Juliet type story. I find Cerys to be the more level-headed one of them, which of course makes sense, as she's an Angel and he's a Fallen. One of my favorite Cerys quotes to Ivan is: “one day you will understand that sin is never satisfied”
All in all, a great read, worthy of a 5* review :)
