So many people have had to deal with abuse and trauma in their lives. Some get past it and seem to be relatively okay, but it’s far more common for these victims to go through life struggling with the weight of what happened to them. This book is for those who don’t just want to stave off the negative feelings associated with their trauma, but to banish them permanently and completely.

The author is an expert in dealing with past trauma, because that is what she had to go through herself. Now, it is her mission to help others who are attempting to banish the negativity associated with such events. If you read this book and apply its teachings to your life, you should eventually get to a point where you feel stronger, energized, and capable of believing in yourself and your capabilities.

Highly recommended book!

Many people go through difficult situations that cause them trauma, in addition to constantly dealing with abuse for a long period of their lives. Some people manage to escape these situations or even overcome these events. That's where this incredible book comes in, for people who haven't yet fully healed. The book's main objective is to eradicate these traumas from people's lives. The author does an incredible job in this book, as it's a guide from her own life; that is, she speaks from her own experience, which makes it a unique and very personal book.
I highly recommend it to anyone going through difficult times with trauma or who simply wants to end the trauma in their lives.

Radically Alive Beyond Abuse by Lisa Cooney felt very personal to me. As I was reading, I started thinking about how past experiences can influence the way we see ourselves. Sometimes we have ideas like “I’m not good enough” or “I can’t do this,” and we just accept them without questioning. In my own life, I’ve had moments like that, where I feel unsure about myself and don’t really understand where that feeling comes from. This book helped me see that those thoughts are not always true.
It also made me think about how I handle difficult feelings. Many times, I prefer to distract myself or avoid thinking too much about certain things.

Transformation.

This book serves as a powerful tool for those carrying old wounds. Lisa Cooney doesn’t write from the comfort of an-office, but from her own scars; she endured violence from childhood and knows the isolation it creates. Her proposal isn’t that you settle for healing, but that you use that pain as fuel to achieve absolute fulfillment. The core of the book is undoing the mental knots that keep you stuck. It pushes you to stop being a victim of the past and become the architect of a present full of possibilities. It’s a raw invitation to reclaim your autonomy and not let the shadows of others dim your light.

I picked up this book after seeing Dr. Lisa Cooney mentioned online a few times. I was curious but also a bit unsure if it was going to be too heavy. It is a deep book, but in a good way. It talks about abuse and trauma but also about moving on and creating a better life, not staying stuck there.

That part meant a lot to me. For me, it helped to see things from another angle, like maybe the past doesn’t have to define everything. About Dr. Lisa, she feels very real and direct. Not soft or sugar-coated, but I think that’s what makes it honest. I would recommend it if you feel stuck in your past or just want to understand yourself better.

A way to heal

This one is a book that helps heal from within those who have suffered abuse in one way or another throughout their lives. It's not just about coping with life, but about living it fully, achieving inner healing to move forward without obstacles or barriers.
Something that caught my attention is how Dr. Lisa addresses this topic from her own experience and life story, making it a more relatable book. It doesn't focus on theoretical topics but on personal experiences and stories, creating a stronger connection between the reader and the book. From my perspective, it seeks to create safe spaces that help overcome difficulties and reclaim one's voice after suffering any kind of trauma.
It is a healing, inspiring, and motivating book.

This was a difficult title for me to pick up, but I am really glad I did. Sometimes you carry things from your past that are hard to talk about. While reading, I cried a couple of times because it felt like someone finally understood the heavy feelings I have inside. This book made me think about what it actually means to be alive, not just surviving day to day. What I liked most was the feeling of hope. It helped me realize that my past does not have to be the only thing that defines my future. It is a very powerful read and it made me feel a bit lighter, like a heavy bag was put down

Personal

I think this is a very personal and direct book. The author writes with a lot of conviction and doesn't seem interested in softening the difficult parts. This sometimes seems a lot but some others is what makes it distinctive.
I think this book is worth exploring. It's intense, personal, and very hopeful.

Great instructions on stepping into YOU

I liked the instructions she gave on how to release the process of trauma, delving into the child and bringing the child out, hand in hand, with the adult. No matter your background, that journey is powerful.
