Her Home or Her Heart

Rate this book
The Maines sisters, Ashley and Susanne, have embarked for several days on a replica of the Louisiana Queen stern-wheeler - but not for a vacation. They're on a mission, searching for the deed to their plantation home in the original furnishings.

To get to the deed the sisters must first find a way into cabin 401. That's where family stories have their great-great-grandfather hiding the deed in a bedpost - after winning the property in a poker game on the original boat. Now a descendent of the original owner is challenging the ownership transfer and demanding Ashley and Susanne's proof of deed.

Occupying cabin 401 is Ethan Watson, a vacationing minister seriously in need of relaxation. He is enamored with the beautiful Ashley, whose path he continually crosses. But why does she almost seem to be stalking his cabin? Is she a thief after money - or his heart? Who on this riverboat can really be trusted?

Kasandra Elaine is actually two people: Kassy Paris and Elaine Bonner. Friends since 1966, the two began a writing partnership in February 1997. Elaine left the partnership in May 2015 when she went to sleep one night and awoke in heaven.

Kassy Paris continues the partnership with stories and ideas the two plotted together while they were both on Earth. The next Kasandra Elaine novel, Murder in Maggie Valley, should be released sometime in late 2016 or early 2017. This is the first book in the pair's KEPS Kozy Mystery Series.

Elaine penned, and had published, three solo works under her own name, Elaine Bonner. The first one of those, Thanks to a Lonely Heart, is available in an anthology titled 'Til We Meet Again. The second of her titles, The Heart Knows, is out of print at this time, but Elaine's third book, Serena, can be purchased through White Rose Publishing or Amazon.

Kassy is working on several solo projects and hopes to have the first of those published within the next year.

I liked it because of the genealogy references in it and the mystery. It was nice to have the characters have real characteristics and struggles.
