Extremely repetitive. So many character names introduced and repeated that I had a really hard time keeping track of any of them. Summaries of the four previous books are all given within four pages of rambling with overwhelming accountings that were poorly executed. Shows fairly good knowledge of leukemia treatments and symptoms, however the interactions between the main characters come across as tantrums. Character’s behavioral responses are not particularly realistic and show a fundamental lack of understanding perspective or rationality for issues large and small.
The dialogue throughout is overly simplistic, with an excessive use of character names and pet names that made this feel more like a rough draft than a finished novel. Additionally, The main characters exhibit a fairly extreme personality shift from how they are presented in the beginning without sufficient justification for their responses. This was a chore to get through.

Sad but beautiful ending.
This one hit close to home. My niece had cancer and beat at the age of 5. I really lo ed how the storyline showed how each person dealt with skylar. I was sad through the whole hopping g for the best. This is a beautiful family book. If you haven't read the book series your missing out. I definitely recommend this book.
