Hans-Dietrich Genscher was a German politician of the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP). He served as foreign minister and as vice chancellor from 1974 to 1992 (except for a two-week break in 1982), making him the longest-serving holder of either post. He was the only vice chancellor in German history to serve non-consecutive terms. In 1991 he was chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
this book is e x t r e m e l y dry - but it has absolutely interesting elements in it. the problem are hte parts that cannot be interesting. details about election phases in a domestic state within the germany of hte 60s or 70s full of people names that have been forgotten. its really terrible to read thourhg these things. but then you have wonderful highlights where international most serious things hit the die hard province of germany and remarkable insights happen - also in how dips work. there is more than a dozen pages i kept earmarked- just its in a sea of pretty dry semi unimportant things of a domestic germany far far ago long ago - no reader mid30 should have to fake interest in these becuase it is not interesting, but the highlights are excellent and interesting indeed.
maybe you want to dare it to find hte insightful gems inthe book, maybe you dont.
