Surprising statistics reveal the secret lives of American pets and their owners, including how much ransom the average owner would pay for a cat, why many owners wrap holiday presents for their pets, and more. Original.
A quick reading book that reports the results of surveys taken of pet owners regarding various opinions they have about their furry (and sometimes feathered or scaly) friends. The author provides commentary on those results, particularly when comparing dog owners' answers to cat owners' answers, as the two groups often differed significantly; or when the popular answers seem like they should be the only options, yet a small percentage chose an offbeat or unpleasant answer instead. Nothing too earth-shattering here, but provided a bit of entertainment before bed for a couple nights, when I wasn't in the mood to read anything too heavy.
