Luck of the Devil is the REAL story of what actually happened "behind the scenes" in the world of drug smuggling in the 1970's and 1980's as told by someone who actually lived it. If you ever wondered what the life of a smuggler was REALLY like, not as it's portrayed on TV and in Film, then Luck of the Devil will open your eyes to the seedy underside of one of the most lucrative and profitable businesses in the world.
The entire book tries to glamorize drug dealing while calling it just a business. Using for an excuse that more people are killed by alcohol and cigarettes is just plain ignorant. How many lives are ruined by drugs? How many people are killed over drugs or by people on drugs? Drug dealers are scum and live like parasites on the misery of others.
This is just the story of one more scumbag that spent his life stealing, lying, cheating on his wife, breaking the law and not earning an honest dollar. Drug dealing in the military is not something to be proud of.
This book is the life long story of a guy who went from being a smoker to a smuggler. He managed to smuggle pot and cocaine into America for over 30 years. Not a great writer but still an interesting story none the less. I recommend it for anyone interested in the American drug business.
Couldn't put book down . Very fast reading, Seems real, and down to earth ! Some curious gaps , because of fast forwarding . Would like to know where all the $ went ?
Terrible formatting made it very difficult to read. This guy has some stories but is not going to win any father or husband of-the-year awards. He is a drug user, dealer, smuggler and thief. I can't find anything good to say about him or his book.
