Katherine Loop has done the remarkable! She has written a solid math course with a truly Biblical worldview. This course goes way beyond the same old Christian math course that teaches math with a few Scriptures sprinkled in and maybe some church-based word problems. This course truly transforms the way we see math. Katherine makes the argument that math is not a neutral subject as most have come to believe. She carefully lays the foundation of how math points to our Creator, the God of the Bible. The nature of God, His Creation, and even the Gospel itself is seen through the study of math. Katherine does a marvelous job of revealing His Glory in this one-of-a-kind math course. Katherine Loop's Principles of Mathematics Biblical Worldview Curriculum is a first of its kind. It takes math to a whole new level students and parents are going to love. It is a guaranteed faith grower!
For more than a decade, Katherine has been researching, writing, and speaking on math, along with other topics. Her books on math and a biblical worldview have been used by various Christian colleges, homeschool groups, and individuals. Her short stories (found on www.ChristianPerspective.net) have reached around the world.
On a different note, she teaches piano, and enjoys baking (or should we say experimenting in the kitchen?), reading, and spending time with friends and family. She's dabbled in making videos, worked at a bakery, and been that weird girl who leaves a library with a stack of math books. Her favorite thing to do is to talk with people about God and His Word. After all, all our biographies will end with seeing Him face to face.
My daughter is currently using this book for math. The concepts are great and I believe she is learning. My problem is the pages are meant to be torn out, but the perforating was terrible. Almost every worksheet ripped.
