This christian trilogy has a romantic storyline streching along all the books. Still the single books have closed crime stories and can be read individually. People we've met in earlier books are introduced with short summarys about what we need to know. I'm glad I bought this set. Very nice characters and great villains. The author was a police officer herself, so she knows what she writes about. I appreciate that.

this series could go on almost indefinably with different cases and growth of and interplay of main characters as they work with each other and other people (and criminals) around town
