Five fire and Brimstone stars!
Hate cliffhangers...hate em... hate em! Especially when the book is sooo damn good! Fire, you could practically hear AC/DC’s Hells Bells mortal soul clock running out with every bong! While in the human world, Tar & Keeley’s story continues from where we left off. Their love is tested as the spiritual domain battles. Keeley's addiction to pain rides her higher. The first steps in treatment is admitting and accepting help. The other is facing the demon that's been plaguing her. But she’s not alone facing her nightmares, they’ve latched on Tar.
Torture and pain from his past is reunited into his present, taking flesh and blood away from him. He'll have to make a choice but by then the outcome is explosive!
Lora Ann has me railing for book three, can't get enough......enjoy!

Lora Ann what an amazing writer, each book she pens gets better and better. A kind spin off from her Brand series, the Brand family joins Tar and Keely on a rocky road journey.
It is said “to err is human, to forgive is devine” I believe one needs to forgive themselves in order for the next person to be able to.
Let me tell you Tar and Keely has some major work ahead of them. They both are broken souls but are they beyond repair? The past continues to eat away and the heart, there’s a darkness that waits not so patiently for a time he can enter and take what he thinks is his.
When a family member goes missing all bets are off, Tar and Keely will have to make it work in order to rescue the loved one.
Another great story with full and believable characters. The length and detail meshed well. Got teased, caught and reeled in. Loved it, recommend it and am sure you will enjoy. **need to read Dark Book 1 in the series, this isn’t a stand alone**

Lora Ann has a beautiful writing style. This series definitely has darkness, but you are routing for Keely and Tar the entire time. I believe everyone has their own demons, Lora brings us into Keely's, I found myself loving Keely even more as the book went on. So much strength, will she become the person she thinks Tar deserves? Make sure to read Dark and follow through with Fire. I was hooked from page one. 5 stars that should be 20

Love this book/series! This book had me reading until the last page. I love these characters and the chemistry they have with each other. I love the way the family comes together for each other. I was able to picture the story in my mind and felt like I was part of the story. I can't wait for more! #MustRead

I loved FIRE: Beautiful Ashes Series (book 2). Since, DARK left off with a huge cliffie! I knew I could not wait to get my hands on Fire: Beautiful Ashes #2. “Fire” picks up where “Dark left off. That means that you the reader must start with Dark: Beautiful Ashes #1. DARK is not a standalone! Oh and this is a Dark Romance.
Please look at the warning, that is provided along with the synopsis. I don’t usually provide a synopsis since the author does and usually does a far better job at it than I do.
There is a little supernatural powers in play in both Dark & Fire: Beautiful Ashes series. I would not describe it as a paranormal though.
I was absolutely sucked into “Fire” the minute I started reading this book. I was so upset that I had to put this book down to go to work but believe me I was reading this book on every break I had. I have a love hate relationship with cliffhangers. I love knowing that there will be another book in the series. But, I hate waiting. I was definitely left with one of those oh noooooo not a cliffhanger moments at the end of this book.
I loved this book and this author. I think I have devoured everything that she has written.
I was given a complimentary copy of Fire for an honest review. But, I also was able to get in on Kindle Unlimited so at least this author could also be paid something for the book.

OMG!!! I am glad to see Tar is back and they FINALLY admitted that they love one another. But the twists that are going on this time are crazy. But I am glad that we now have the whole family banding together. I love the Strands. Now we have new players: Lisa (Tar's ex and sister-in-law), Chase (his brother), Shelby is back, Mitch (of course), Leith, Dr Pam Sheffield(new member), Viv, and all the demons. All are in a battle of good vs evil. That I didn't expect but it needed to be battled. Keeley had such a difficult past and needs to try and fight to be free.
We now have Chase caught and being abused. Tar, Mitch and their teams are trying to find him. Lisa seems to be involved way more then she is saying. She is trying to get it all. Have Tar and Chase as her own. NOT HAPPENING, evil witch. The Strands stand united to help in finding Chase and breaking of the sex slave trade. And Keeley fighting for her life to break free of the demons that keep trying to pull her back into the darkness.
I love reading about the Strands. It shows the unity they have for one another as well as the love. Even and Lacey have had to over come so much and keep fighting. THAT is what Keeley sees and wants what they and all the Strands have, LOVE. Tar is the answer and let me tell you, I was worried that he would walk away. But he "manned up" and realized that she was his everything. Ok, it took E beating him up and yelling at him but still. I love that Keeley is getting a bit of help from Pam. She needed someone to help her find her way out of really hurting herself and finding a better solution to pain and control.
The only thing that has me upset is now I have to wait for the next book to see what happens. We ended on a cliffhanger, literally. I knew it was coming but still. UGH!!! Honestly I am hoping Lisa gets what she deserves, evil wench. Hopefully Chase can recover. And Viv, OMG if she turns into that psycho like Caleb, there will be no mercy for anyone. We need some happiness for this group. We know Amiee is almost ready to deliver. So let us hope good triumphs evil.

Lora Ann completely swept me up in numerous emotions throughout this second book of the series. I couldn't put it down!! This book is not a standalone and Dark Book 1 must be read first.
Book 2 continues the story of Keeley and Tar, and they are faced with stuggles, passion, loss and pain. You feel every emotion and I found myself holding my breath the more I read.
Lora Ann, has a unique way of drawing you into the story and emotionally charged scenes. The reader feels like they are in the same place as the characters.
The characters are well balanced and the chemistry flows throughout the book. The pace is wonderful. I want the characters to find a HEA, after everything they have faced together.
I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

I was so excited when Author Lora Ann said she was creating the next book in the Beautiful Ashes Series. I devoured this book in a day. I COULD NOT put it down! Fire grips you right from the first page. The story of Keeley and Tar is one filled with such turmoil and emotion. Lora Ann’s writing makes you feel every moment. I wanted to jump into the book and be a part of the story! I was literally holding my breath at the end. The next part of this incredible series can’t come out soon enough. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that we will see Keeley and Tar get their “happily ever after.” An AMAZING series!!!

Awesome Read!
Picking up where Dark left off we see Keely in a literal battle with her demons as the past comes back to make Tar battle some demons of his own. Lora Ann has developed characters that make you root for them and feel their agony as they fight for love...and their souls. The Strand clan are at their strongest in this type of battle, as are Tar's special ops brothers. This story is dark, intriguing, suspense filled, erotic, loving , touching, sad and horrifying. That is why these characters feel real, as does the story.

Pre evil!
Oh what fun the devil can have when let out to play. Diabolical Lora Ann...simply awesome. As this is the second installment of the series I knew there would be plenty of angst to go around and boy she did not disappoint. Keely and Tar have their own demons to fight in this installment and boy are they massive ones that have sank their teeth in to them and are refusing to let go.
We see inside Keely's psyche a little more and learn a few details along the way of what made her the way she is. Never doubt that Lora Ann has created a character with so much turmoil that you honestly wonder how anyone could survive the trauma she has endured ~ but she is a fighter. Once she learns to love and forgive herself she realizes she is worthy of Tar's love and prepares to fight for him...will it be enough?!
Tar on the other hand has forgiven Keely for what he felt was a betrayal however he learns there are other betrayals afoot. He comes face to face with his past and realizes it's not all cut and dried like he thought. He vows to do whatever it takes to rescue his brother. He learns more about his ex fiance/sister in law and feels something is not right.
When both Keely & Tar are betrayed will they survive? Can their love overcome any obstacle? Just as we are asking ourselves this very question the lovely (diabolical) Lora Ann once again leaves us with a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers! I will be honest and say I cussed her quite eloquently when I read the words "to be continued" and could see her grinning as she wrote that. So now I have a love hate relationship with her...at least until the next one is out.
Very well written with a strangely insightful look into the dark and disturbing world of sex trafficking and the healing path one must travel to become whole.

This book was a non stop thrill ride from beginning to end. She grabs you with the first sentence and you don't catch your breath until after you finish the book and walk away, no lie!!
Keeley is such a tortured soul, and Tar is fighting his own battles in addition to trying to help her, and you just really want to see them get a HEA. For all that Keeley has to deal with, she still is an incredibly strong woman, and I love seeing the strong family ties and support as well...the Strand family is wonderful!

Darkness does have other plans, as the author noted. Wow, I thought nothing could surpass book one but this one has me reeling. I'm seeing how evilness surrounds more than I thought.. The story-line is coming together, the puzzle pieces are connecting together, the words are flowing and let's me feel like I'm a witness to the darkness that surrounds these characters. THAT is what I enjoy when reading a book! And freakin' hell..were it left off.. Damn. Damn. I can't wait for the next book! (soon I hope) Will darkness rule or will light prevail? Come on Keeley and Tar, I'm rooting for you!

I totally love the Dark Series!!! Keeley and Tar are fighting their demons and it will take a few books to put their heart a souls back together. I love Lora Ann's writing style and she just puts her heart into the way she writes. She makes you feel like you'd want to be apart of this awesome loyal family of friends.

Hang on for a tumultuous roller coaster ride! The love of Keeley’s life walks out on her, Tar is thrown into the middle of an investigation and Keeley is tormented by her warring demons. Lora Ann has truly captured the human emotion of sorrow, grief and heartbreak in this book. Not only has she done that, but she has also beautifully portrayed family, loyalty and love. I am so rooting for this couple to have a HEA, the journey there will be a ride Lora Ann is sure not to disappoint us with! Beautifully written, 5 out of 5 stars!
