Ember Sinclair’s only focus is planning for the future. She graduated college and became second-in-command at one of the largest marketing firms in Raleigh, NC before the age of 30. She doesn’t have time for romantic relationships nor does she want to have time. Enter Cole Bainbridge. Sexy as sin, a player, a commitment-phobe--and her boss.
When Cole and Ember find themselves on a dream trip for a week, the sparks between them combust into an erotic fire that neither of them are prepared for. They mutually agree to have a week long, uncomplicated affair filled with mind blowing sex. But the best laid plans are often the most fallible. Then, in the blink of an eye, something happens and nothing is ever, ever the same.
First and foremost, the title of this book is already an attention grabber, but the story itself was amazing. I was only supposed to read a couple chapters, as I had much to do on Saturday. But I literally got lost in the world of Cole and Ember and couldn't stop reading until I was completely done. The character development of both the major and minor players in the story helps the reader to truly relate to each one of them and gives you a better understanding of their reactions. I saw so much of myself in Cheyenne. And Ember was a Colts fan, just like me too lol! I am awaiting part 2, because I mean THERE HAS TO BE A PART TWO!!!
I'm not new to erotic fiction but I have spent some time away from it. I've also been reading a lot of paranormal romance books so this review is not from a rookie. I throughly enjoyed Ember's Flame. I wanted it to stretch out a bit further because it seemed kind of rushed at the end but other than that no complaints. It's not over the top and the erotic scenes are well written and I enjoyed the plot. I can't wait for part two.
This is a tale of choices. Most single professional women fell they have to choose between love and success. Reading her story makes on think about one's own choices.
Sometimes what you need and want is right in front of you. I loved Ember and Cole's story. The cruise seemed like a dream of a vacation that we all should take!
This was a good first debut with minor editing problems. The story has a slow build up but becomes really funny once Ember's friends and Cole's brother's come into the story. The story ends on a cliff hanger regarding the fourth friend Violet. I'm looking forward to learning more about the other characters and getting a peak at Ember and Cole.
