With a short story collection I usually find that they divide into 3 categories in my mind, these being: liked, disliked & didn't understand. There's some noted names here but sadly they haven't impressed me. There were a few stories I might class as liked - although the only one I recall is "The Day I Met Sean Connery"- & it's not that I particularly disliked the rest, more that I just didn't understand them!
There was one I gave up on but I can't remember which - I guess I didn't find them very memorable.
There are some pretty good stories, mostly in the middle of the book, but most are boring and not exciting at all. Cute too dive into Scottish literature but not that deeply.
