Identified with its origin and its early history, you can tell us what were the intentions of its founders and bene factors. We have been ably instructed (in a. Former address by Dr. Draper) as to what the City of N ew-york owes to the University. May we ask' you to give us some idea of What the University Owes to the City and State?
