Journey Back To Mars

Rate this book
The seven stories in Hugo Huesca’s retro-flavored sci-fi collection are a mix of nostalgia, introspection, and hope for the future. Not all of them are idyllic, not all of them end up happily. But all of them are inspired by that classic sci-fi era where dystopia was still a thought-experiment and not a genre upon itself. This collection is a love-letter of that golden age of science fiction that defined a generation.

Inside Journey Back to Mars, you will face the dangers of Space Travel, along with Hiro and his ship, the Amaterasu; you will meet a conspiracy-obsessed Cooper Kaproc; a dark bunker where an old love dwells; and face the Martian Vampire along with Quark and his friends.

Hugo Huesca is the author of The Road of Fire and Quark and the Martian Vampire; both short stories included in this collection. He lives in México, by the beach, where he spends the rainy afternoons writing science fiction and weird horror.

Some quotes on Hugo Huesca from those who know him:

"Are you rich yet?" A family member, one day after Hugo self-published his first short story ever. (The answer is no.)

"He's the devil." A College professor.

"What do you mean there were TWO dragons?" His D&D group before a TPK.

"What are you doing in my house? No, I'm not giving you a quote for your biography, please leave before I call the police." Some random person.
