Look up egomaniac in the dictionary - there should be a picture of this guy. Infamous as the original ‘King of Torts’ he was at one time the hottest thing going with a client list that included Jack Ruby, Errol Flynn, Mae West, Lenny Bruce and The Rolling Stones…A media slut who loved the lime-light, Belli streaked at Berkeley college 50 years before the fad was created. He lived large - this is a fascinating autobiography – a must for anyone interested in legal history. Plus as a time-piece it’s pretty hilarious.
"When a cement truck hit Maureen Connolly and ended her tennis career, I sued and won her $95,000. But the money didn’t bring her another Wimbledon title” Yes, 95K…
These days you'd get that for stubbing your toe:)

A fascinating book of memories with a strong dose of chauvanism. Belli reminded me of Steve Jobs - buck authority when it's good for them, even if its a hard fight.
