Gritty, fast-paced, and utterly suspenseful. You will stay up all night to finish it!

THOMAS FINCHAM holds a graduate degree in Economics. His travels throughout the world have given him an appreciation for other cultures and beliefs. He has lived in Africa, Asia, and North America. An avid reader of mysteries and thrillers, he decided to give writing a try. Several novels later, he can honestly say he has found his calling. He is married with two kids, and he lives in a hundred-year-old house. He is the author of LEE CALLAWAY series, the HYDER ALI series, the MARTIN RHODES series, and the ECHO ROSE series.
Not often I read three books in a row by one author, very pleased I found this author and followed the story throughout the three books to a conclusion.
FROM THOMAS FINCHAM, THE NEW VOICE IN THE CRIME AND SUSPENSE GENRE, COMES A HERO UNLIKE ANY OTHER !!
Martin Rhodes is a former police detective who spent years in prison for murder. He is flawed but honorable. He always gets his man...

A killer is enacting his own form of justice by hanging dead bodies for all to see.
Former Detective Martin Rhodes spent ten years in prison for murder. Someone from Rhodes's past comes knocking on his door asking for his help. Rhodes is also caught off guard by his father's unexpected requested. Meanwhile, Special Agent Jo Pullinger has to deal with two dead bodies of individuals who were once accused of crimes. Jo's heart condition only worsens as she is also faced with a family secret. As Jo and Rhodes continue their investigation, they have no idea that they will finally come face-to-face with the Bridgeton Ripper.
What we have here is a well paced addictive thriller, which comes to a conclusion, but the stories throughout the three books are great, within each book, and the main story, the great characters, a few big shocks.
All I suggest is do start with Book 1, then 2 and then 3 !!
You will be pleased you did. Great books. Five stars
An old friend he had worked with on the force, came to see him, wanting help on a case. Just read through the fikes and let him know. A landlord’s so. Has been out of prison, stealing cars and taking to chop shops and now back doing it abain, she wants Rhodes to talk to him. Not wanting him to end up in prison for life, like his father in Russia. Jo still puzzled over Mathais what he wanted to tell her. Taking a require time off, she strips the articles iff the walls in her house. Till one article catches her attention, and once again confronting the father on his alibi, At the hands of a madman the peices fell into place, would this be theend for her. Another triangle of cases woven together for Jo and Rhodes.
Jo gets answers to it all…her mom’s health, dad not perfect, heart condition, who the Bridgerton serial killer was…she had a busy book! Rhodes worked on several issues and cases as well that worked together with Jo or to help him move forward from his crime and time spent in prison. The secondary characters were in full color this book, especially Chris and Irina and Tarik. Charlotte and Jo had some great and tough conversations. I love Ben and adore the relationship Jo has with her niece. I flew through this book and enjoy this series.
Job well don't!! The bad guys are gone, the good guys prevailed, and something fresh and new will now surface and the twists and turns are all straight now. Justice was served , endings were made happy and all main characters came full circle just as it should be and all was right with the world of evil with no room for error, at least not on the surface any way. Though I'm extremely satiated after the last installment in the series was comp!eyed, it is not to say I won't pick up another one by Mr. Fincham but whose to say? THIS has been one of my more pleasant experiences, particularly in a series, that I may have ever embarked upon. The five star rating should be indicative of such. Another success from an author on the prowl!! Iandd peoplebknkwbho7
This was my least favorite of the Martin Rhodes trilogy but still had me eagerly turning the pages to see what happened next. Once again the former detective finds himself embroiled in another investigation only this time he's headed for a showdown with the Bridgeton Ripper, a serial killer who's leaving bodies around town.
Hate for this to be the last we see of Rhodes. He could be the next Jack Reacher. Hope the author changes his mind and comes out with another book!
Cross your heart, book 2 and say your prayers, book 3. Wow what a ride. Excellent stories. Exciting and suspenseful. The suspense in the story makes you Not able to stop reading... You have to know what's gonna happen next. All the characters are Awesome. Sad the series has no more books..
Maybe a little unsatisfying end. Throughout the entire series I sincerely hope someone, somehow would be able to get ex detective Rhodes back in the detective saddle again. But I guess this storyline mimics the reality of today's police officers. They try to do their jobs the best way they can and then they are the persecuted and prosecuted. What a shame!
Once again the characters were real as me. Very good plot and as before it was as if I was living the story. But once again I'm not sure I'll get another book from Thomas Fincham. I'm ok with stand alone series with same characters but not if you have to keep buying his books to find the end of a story brought up in the first book.😤
I figured out the bad guy but it was still a great book. Only bad thing was proofreading needs to be a little better. Found quite a few errors in all three books. Hoping for another adventure with Jo & Rhodes.
Everything in this book was perfect... From the plot full of twists and turns to the characters. This book was so well written that the ending was a surprise! I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Another apparent serial killer . Martin is becoming overwhelmed by requests for his help . Jo's heart is getting worse . Martin is an excellent detective , however , and never stops seeking answers .
All comes full circle as tangled threads are loosened and the full scope and degree of inhuman depravity is revealed. Generations-long family secrets of several protagonists are bared and lives both end and begin again..
Is Jo gonna die? Is Rhodes gonna? I'll never tell. Read the book to find out. Dr. Lotta is twisted in a way that can never be straightened out. Find out why, where, and when in book 3.
What a story! The end is a bit too pat, yet it pulls the reader in. While this is considered a Rhodes book, it could also be Jo's story. Many storylines are completed in this book.
Love Martin Rhodes & Jo. I know Jo goes on & has her own stories & they are great. I am glad I went to Martin Rhodes books to see how Jo came about. I will be finishing Martin's storyline before going back to Jo's story. Great job, you don't want to stop reading.
I found this book interesting, however, there were so many characters it was difficult to keep track of them as I read through the many chapters until the end.
