How does someone with no enemies end up murdered? That's for Dan Coast and his sidekick Red Baxter to find out. Join Dan and Red, along with Skip Stoner and Dan's childhood hero, former astronaut, Kip Larson as they piece together the clues that may free an innocent man. In this action packed, sixth installment of The Tales of Dan Coast Series, Dan digs into a wrongly accused man's past and finds out he may not be so innocent.
I really like the Dan Coast series, and 'Most Likely To Die' is no exception to this. Rodney Riesel has created such a great set of supporting characters as 'Friends of Dan' that are just as much fun to read about as Dan Coast himself. Red, who never pulls a punch when talking to Dan, and Skip, who I wonder if we'll ever find out what his background really is.
I like how Dan isn't afraid to skirt the law while sticking to his own 'moral' code, with his friends sticking by him. So, pour a tequila, Seven Up, and add a lime, then follow Dan as he continues the adventure. You won't be sorry!
Funny, the back and forth between the characters is great. Always some twists and turns. Continuing with people common to the series adds to the novels by this author, This is a good read, light and enjoyable.
Always a fun read even if it is about murder. Dan Coast and his buddies are always entertaining. Just wish he wouldn't drink so much. His liver ain't gonna last much longer I'm afraid.
This book by Rodney Riesel is cleverly done but lacks real fire. I enjoyed the wise crack dialog. Dan Coast is a cool character but with his heavy drinking, I don't see why some of the other characters in the book are attracted to him.
Dan keep getting help from friends he did not know they assist in every way possible in so!Bing the crimes that only Dan and his crew seem to run Into .so as always it ends well for Dan and the bad guys score a zero.. Ciao from Bobbie and i..
This story continues the subplot of an enabled alcoholic. It is also about another story that is solved by the main character surrounded by his friends.
If you like light mysteries set in tropical locations the ‘Dan Coast’ Series is right up your alley. With ‘Most Likely to Die’ Dan becomes even less of a jerk to the point where you might actually like the guy. He and Red do their best to solve another mystery in Key West while setting themselves up for another adventure right as the story ends. The writing is good and the characters are fun. If you’ve liked the other books in this series then I think you’ll enjoy this one as well.
