These ruthless aliens dominate everything they come across—especially their women.
Julia Spear never expected to get abducted by a dangerous, wild alien warrior, let alone find him as attractive as he was deadly. She came to Shaviro to help oversee daily operations for the largest mining company in the galaxy, and it was supposed to be an easy job. But when Julia becomes a prisoner of war, she finds herself torn between her need for freedom and her overwhelming desire for the wild alien that took her.
Nova, warrior prince of his Navani tribe, never wanted to find his mate during a raid on the human scum. Small, curvy, and gorgeous, the human girl attracts him more than he could ever imagine. Her scent makes his heart race, and he can’t stop himself when he takes her as his prize. The humans are supposed to be his enemy, but he's sure that the girl is his true mate. Nova can’t turn his back on his destiny, no matter how much he hates her people.
The war between the humans and the Navani rages on, with Nova and Julia stuck in the middle. Unwelcome among the Navani and outlaws among the humans, can Nova and Julia find a way to survive this deadly war together?
Adults only! This full-length science fiction alien romance contains violence, swearing, and lots of steamy sex. Nova is a standalone novel, no cliffhanger, guaranteed HEA, and includes the first book in the Rebel Lords series, Dracon!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed the story. We meet Nova who is much more brutal than Dracon and only cares for his people. He has a true distaste for humans and wont be swayed. He gets wind of a female Administrator coming and he plans to take her and use her as a bargaining chip to stop the drilling on Shaviro, his home and fracking its resources. Although he stopped the beating of Julia not before she got really hurt. He wasn’t all that sympathetic to her, but he did heal her injuries. They both hated each other instantly. He was pretty stubborn and refused to listen to reasoning from Julia. This whole situation was between the Navani people and the drilling company. I would have thought that the human government would have gotten involved but they didn’t. Nova was a little disgruntled with his attraction to Julia and she was as well. As they got to know each other things seemed to blur for him a little and he realized a few things. He was really conflicted because Julia was his mate. He was losing too many of his people and something needed to happen to stop it. He ultimately realized a truce or agreement needed to be met for things to stop escalating and his people were wiped out. Nova’s character was off-putting for me at first. I grew to like him though. He’s got a big heart under it all and he’s really protective of his people. I liked Julia’s character but I think she was a little naive to what was really happening on Shaviro. Her job as an Administrator and approving drilling sites she was oblivious and I sorta felt she wasn’t doing her job very well. How could she when she didn’t know all the facts? She started to see things from the Navani people’s standpoint. Did they get their truce? What will become of the Navani? Can she really mate with Nova or are they too different? I recommend the book.
This is a hard book to review because it was neither good nor bad. Just ho-hum. And even though I finished it yesterday, I cannot remember much of anything about it. Not a good testimonial.
Title: NOVA Series: Rebel Lords Destination: Book 2, 229 Pages, Author: Kylie Gold Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #SciFi #Aliens My Score: #5Stars☆☆☆☆☆ #100Star is not enough for this book/series
♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡ Wowzer what a book Ms. Kylie has written, your suckered in at the beginning and believe me there is no way you would want to put it down. This lady is wild I sware, as this is my second book that I have read from her, again it won't be the last either. There is Prophecy, Drama, Suspense, Fighting, Captured Hostage, Attraction, Hot Sex, and Love. Omg Yes, I definitely recommend this book. Julia Spear is administer who over see's operations of the largest mining company in the solar system on the Planet Shaviro. The draw back is the humans are at war with the Aliens. As her convoy goes to her 5:30 meeting they are attacked by the Navani Warriors. That is the last Julia remembers until waking up in a warriors hut, beat up and in pain. When she comes too, she sees a red alien who is taking care of her, she passes out again comes too and they starts arguing a little bit the next day and the next. Argues so much where he puts a cloth in her mouth so she shuts up this goes on for days then she finally be quiet he told her that he won't put it back in her mouth as long as she shuts up he did pick it out she killed a boar yes, The village ate great that night. Another thing that was happening she was all because she'll becoming attracted to this man my God he kidnapped me he killed by bestfriend and I'm attracted to him what is going with me? Nova, is the warrior prince of his Navani tribe, living close to the traitor Dracon who mated with Amelia a human and procreated a son name Con. Nova has made it painfully clear not only did hate humans, BUT he's killing them all, and so he did. His next plan was to attack and take a valuable hostage. But alas his warriors were so into fighting and killings his hostage was beat up and near death. Seeing this upset him very much he picked her up and took her to his hut. Julia was in so much pain and he kept administering healing remedies from his tribe. Even in her bruised state she was beautiful. Why he was having feelings for her was a travesty. I was gifted this book for an honest and truthful review.
So, I liked this one but it was very similar to Dracon. Nova was a little more on the sweet side when it came to showing affection, but there was a few things I didn't care for.
1) she's never hunted, but she takes this big butt down 2) he demands that she do it rather than teaching her how to work the spear-you know, at least the basics 3) she didn't really have a desire to help the tribe but only did so because she was told to (I like that in the last book she wanted to help the tribe even though it wasn't her fight). I also didn't like that he would gag her whenever she said something he didn't like-felt a little childish to me. I get the first time because she would go on and on and on, but the length of time and anytime after that I thought was overkill 4)I wish there was a little more humor or sarcasm-but that's a personal want not something the author wrote that I didn't care for
Also, this was what I called a light switch romance. What is a light-switch romance you ask? It's when the characters (or sometimes it's just one character) goes from not liking or hating a character and then BAM! a switch is flipped and they suddenly like this person as if they have loved them the whole time. She has this feeling whereas he shows some semblance of liking her and growing into his attraction.
Overall I think they were a great couple and there was a lot in this one that I enjoyed more than the first. It is a fast paced book so watch out world on that one. With a smidgen more editing and rephrasing I think this book would be an enjoyable, cute, easy, quick read.

Part of Administrator Julia Spear’s job was overseeing important mining operations. But she had been away from home for some time now and she certainly didn’t want to be on the planet Shaviro, especially with war raging among the populace. She was responsible for the contracts and approval before work could begin, so she had to be there. Her hovercraft took off for the meeting, and the next thing she knew, they were under attack!
Prince Nova was not happy with humans and the destruction they were doing to his planet. He wanted to kidnap the important woman he heard was being brought in so he could use her as a bargaining chip against the humans. Nova felt that humans were greedy; overpopulation made them burn through their own resources, so they had to go out into the galaxy and take from others. Julia continued defending the human need to keep up our technology and expand. It was an enlightening summary of how things are today and the difficulties we face as we use up our natural resources. When Nova tired of her arguments, he repeatedly gagged her so he could enjoy the silence. Ruled by emotions, her arguments frustrated him. But day by day, she learned about his culture and respect started to build between the two of them.
This was a good story and I think readers would enjoy it. It’s about love and learning about what is important in your life. Love and family are the most important of all. I definitely recommend this book! I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a interesting and intriguing book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story covers Julia Spear who is an Administrator for the Intergalactic Mining Corp and is sent to the planet Shaviro where Dremalite is being mined. Prince Nova and some of his tribe attack the shuttle and some of his warriors beat her quite badly before he can stop it. He abducts her and wants to use her as a bargaining chip, but when he realizes Julia is his mate he wants to keep her. Dracon and Amelia (from the first book) gets mentioned and makes brief appearances in this book. What you will find in this story is drama, suspense, a feisty yet naive woman, a alien prince, greedy humans, shuttle attacked, abducted, tied up, tended to wounds, drugs, natives technology advanced, disagreements, gagged, peaceful silence, released, taken on hunt, killing a boar, developing feeling for her, Shaman, a fated mate, prophecy, wants to leave him, an exchange, hearing about a trap, running away and warning Nova, deciding to stay, talking to humans, peaceful agreements on both sides, emotional feelings and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and the scene description is excellent. The characters are well developed with emotional feelings of hatred, revenge, doubts, fears, needs and desires. I would recommend this book to people who like to read an alien romance with a difference.
This standalone is the second book in the sci fi romance series Rebel Lords, by a new author who shows great potential. Julia Spear is an overseer for the Intergalactic Mining Corp. She has been sent to the planet Shaviro, where the company is mining Dremalite, which fuels their spaceships. War has broken out between humans who have begun operations on what they believe to be a primitive planet, and the Navani, the indigenous red skinned race who value their planet's environmental natural balance. Nova is the prince of a tribe that is openly hostile to the invading humans. Nova and his men attack the convoy that is transporting Julia, killing her best friend and assistant. Badly injured, Julia is taken to Nova's hut, where he secures her to a cot and tends her wounds. When she regains consciousness, they clash verbally and he gags her to keep her quiet. But over time, he realizes he is attracted to the strange human woman and is reluctant to trade her back to her people. Dracon, from book one, plays a minor role in the story. I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I have received the book Nova by Kylie Gold, as an ARC for an honest review. It was an amazing story, as the previous one was, with Dracon and Amelia, as the main characters of the book. Now we have another couple, Nova and Julia, that are the main focus, in our new book series. Nova hates everything the humans have done to his kind and also to their planet. His plan was to drive back the humans, destroy their drilling sites and eliberate their kind, from the humans greed and destruction of their planet, and eventually of their species extinction. Julia comes to Shaviro to see the Dremalite site, what can be gained and profited from drilling. In her convoy's way towards the site, they are attacked by the Navanians, and she is taken captive, as a bargaining chip with the humans. Nova is also attracted by the woman, he is torn between fascination and hatred towards the gorgeous human woman, and later by love and duty to his tribe. They quickly fall in love with each other, but they can't seem to express their feelings towards each other. Great book, great story, I loved the book and warmly recommend it to read.
I got this book for an honest review by the author, Yes ! the second book in the Rebel Lords series and it was just as good as the first one. http://thesecretworldofbooklovers.blo... In this book another Navani tribe is trying to survive the human invasion of their planet, and they have their minds set on killing them all, but again fate has other plans when it throws beautiful and strong Julia in the way of the savage warrior Prince Nova.
It's a kind of hate at the first sight type of story, which only makes it hotter! They long for each other from the moment meet and it only gets worse with the time they are forced to spend together.
Love beats everything they say, and in this case it's just that, these two fight with they minds, traditions and society human and alien equally, until they decide that nothing else matters.
They just need to follow their hearts and let everything else fall into place, ultimately that would hopefully be the salvation they need .
Thrilling, entertaining and with some definitely crazy sex scenes, it's a book worth your while.
If you are in need of a good sci-fi +sexy warriors + love, type of book this is the story for you.
Julia Spear never expected to get abducted by a dangerous, wild alien warrior, let alone find him as attractive as he was deadly. She came to Shaviro to help oversee daily operations for the largest mining company in the galaxy, Nova, warrior prince of his Navani tribe, never wanted to find his mate during a raid on the human scum. The humans are supposed to be his enemy, but he's sure that the girl is his true mate.
Nova follows after Dracon and Amelia's story. Nova despises Dracon for taken a human, enemy, as his mate and cut ties with his tribe. He only sees the humans as destroyers of their planet and people. Julia annoys him with her talk of resources and taking what they humans wants. She also intrigues him and makes him think and feel things he never thought possible.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Nova is the prince of his tribe and an acclaimed warrior in the fight against the humans. He is a lot more belligerent and hardhearted than Dracon. he can't believe his fellow Navarian took a human for a mate.
Julia is an administrator for the mining company. When she is kidnapped by Nova, she is almost beaten to death before he stops it. He is not that considerate of her injuries and aloof from her opinions on the war.
But as her kidnapping continues he finds himself worrying more and more of her health, injuries and the effect she has on his libido!
Nova’s character was really hard to like to start with. Sure he was protecting his people and fending off the humans but he was a bit cut-throat! Julia seemed to be so naive when it came to "big brother" protocols when decimating other planets. It was also great to see Dracon and Amelia back in action, even if it was just a little cameo.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
"An Amazing SciFi Alien Romance" The storyline is intense. The characters are awesome and unique. Julia is an Administrator for a mining company. She and her best friend/secretary Ryan have been sent to the planet Shaviro to check on the mine there. Julia and Ryan are not to happy about it a the colonists and the natives have been at war. After they check the mine and are on their way back to the colony town their convoy is ambushed by the natives!. Julia is taken hostage and the rest are killed even Ryan!. Nova is the leader of a Shavior natives he and his people do not want the humans there. Nova has always thought of the humans as being vile and greedy. He can not understand why he would be attracted to Julia!. Julia feels she should be scared of Nova instead she lusts after him. You will love this exciting, suspenseful, and scorching hot Romance!. It is a must read book!.
I recieved am ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The story plot is a bit similar to the last in the series. Off planet human comes to Shivaro and is kidnapped by a tribe who hope to use her as leverage in the war between humans and Navani.
Unlike the previous book, this was a lot sweeter. A lot of kisses on the forehead and not yelling even though Nova was angry at times. There was one scene I don't know how I feel about. I'm torn between thinking it was uncalled for and thinking it was funny as all get out. Nova put bindings on her mouth everytime he got tired of hearing her preach about humans in the beginning.
Four stars, even though this was so sweet is because I found the flow of writing was a bit off and at times hard to read but I have no doubt that this will get better with time.
I actually enjoyed this story a little more than the first. I feel like we haven't heard the last from the human leader. The story was beautifully told and the sacrifices each was willing to make for the other in the name of love. I really enjoyed the crossover so we could see more from Dracon and Amelia. It was a nice addition to catch up with them. I still have questions that left me hanging. Little details that have you wondering, some the same as from the first. Did Julie ever get to talk to her family? That was the biggest worry of both humans in both stories. It would've been nice to close that gap. I liked how the tribe was different but similar to Dracon's. Overall a good story and I'm enjoying the sci-Fi series.
Julia Spears works for Intergalatic Mining Company sent to Shaviro to help approve more drill sites that the local leader can't approve. Julia doesn't like or trust Lyle Grain at all. When Julia's hovercraft is attacked by Navani tribe. Julia is taken hostage by the Navani leader Nova. Nova is disgusted by his feelings or attraction to the human woman. Nova can't believe that Dracon took a human as his mate and had a child too. Will Nova discover that he's wrong? Can Julia explain her attraction to Nova? Your answers await you in Nova.
This action packed sequel doesn't disappoint at all. The characters and story are unique, gritty, raw, compelling, honest, and real. I'm definitely looking forward to my next adventure in this series.
Nova is pretty intense in his hatred for humans and its pretty palpable with Ms. Gold's terrific dialogue! As the Alpha Prince of his clan his disgust of humans and their desecration of his lands makes this story exciting as Ms. Gold"s words totally encompass the chaos Nova experiences when he captures the woman scientist. When he begins to feel and notice the very curvy, independent Julia the fun begins! This thorn becomes much more to him than just an interloper and their emotions make each page scorching hot to hold! Love these characters and their journey to find each other! This ARC was given in exchange for an honest review..
Julie is an administrator for the intergalactic mining corporaton and had to go to shaviro fir a new contract because they found dremalite and the company needed to know if it was worth the extra money needed to keep mining. Nova was a prince of one of the tribes on shaviro. He attacked the convoy to get Julia to use her to get thier people back. Problem was once he had her he didn't want to give her back. I love the characters in this with all its action and drama. Syfy fans this o e is great. Book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
3.5 Stars! This series has a catchy storyline that is surprisingly entertaining. Sent to Shaviro as part of her job to oversee the operations with the mining company, Julie never expected to meet the planet's natives nor being kidnapped by one. Nova, a prince of the Navani tribe never thought to meet his mate when he captured Julie expecting to ransom her back to the mining company. The fight between the humans and Navani rage on while Nova has to make a choice between duty or fate. Overall a pretty good read.
I liked this book very much, but my only issue was I felt like I was re-reading Dracon the only different was Nova hatred of humans. I guess I was expecting a little bit more from the cliffhanger from Dracon. Beside that I like the chemistry between Nova and Julia they had interesting love affair I guess that saying apply to them that opposites do attract. Overall a good read looking forward to seeing what going to happen next. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Second book in the Rebel Lords series , I am really liking this series. This is Julia Spear’s and Nova,is a warrior prince of his Navani tribe’s story. She has come to oversee the mining operations on Shaviro, but gets captured by the rebel leader Nova he did not want his fated mate to be one of the hated Humans. What happens between the Humans and the Navani tribe? Does everyone want peace? What is the prophecy?
This alien romance is a continuation of the series. Nova and Julia are on opposite sides, and one being an alien and the other human, but they somehow find themselves attracted to each other amidst a war. Kylie Gold writes a nice sci-fi romance, and this next book in her series is just as good as her first book. Enjoyed the development of Nova and Julia's romance, and there was definitely sizzle to satisfy. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I liked the story. It takes the Indians of the Old West and transplants them into a sci-fi world. The hero, Nova, is the chief or leader of the tribe. He dislikes humans because they are committing genocide. The heroine, Julia, is a mining official. She initially defends the actions of the humans, however as time goes on she tries to prevent the humans from waring with the navani. It was a predictable story, but enjoyable.
The rebels are still at war with the humans. This time Nova is the one that cut ties with Dracon ( book 1) and he is on the lookout for a certain human female that he can use to trade the humans into stop their drilling on the planet. Julie is the in between of he drillers and the company's and when she approves something it can be done. But now she is a hostage of Nova and his tribe but could they be fated mates like Dracon and Amelia.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is the first alien book I have ever read I usually read regular bad boy or shifter books. I have definitely found a new type of books to love!! This book has me wishing there really were hot alien men out there like Nova!! If you like sexy, overbearing, protective men then you will definitely love this book!!
Julia and crew go to check out a mine and run into trouble that gets everyone killed but her. She is captured by the leader of a tribe that hates humans. He finds he sees and feels something for Julia he doesn't understand. This is a deep story with a hot alien male. It is worth reading as it captures your attention. I recommend it. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I liked the book very much, but I felt like some of the things that I was reading were a little like the other book Dracon. Don't get me wrong the story was great except for a few things that were the same as the other book. Otherwise loved the way Nova and Julia fell in love, but all in all it was a good book. : )
Nova kidnapped Julia so he had leverage over the humans so they would stop drilling dreamlike by drilling it was killing the planet for future generations, once he had Julie Nova started to have feeling for her and then fell in love with her, He made peace with Draco either can make peace with the humans, Nova and Julia started to have a family together.
Gifted an ARC for an honest review.... Although not a huge fan of the SciFi genre, Nova was a solid change of pace read! Nova and Julia are well written, compelling characters. The story is fast paced and interesting. Sometimes enemies can become lovers and this book proves that. Enjoyable read!!
This was a wonderful story and I really enjoyed it. I recommend starting from the beginning of the series to get the full effect of the story line. Steam factor 8. I received a free copy for an honest review.
I received an Arc copy for my honest review. I could not put this book down it was intense at times and very intriguing. This is turning out to be an Amazing series. I can not wait to see what happens next. This Is A Must Read Series!!!
