It started very abruptly (if that's possible) but eventually moved into a smooth writing style. An interesting weave of the 1988 season for the Toronto Blue Jays as well as the career path for one of the most popular Jays players of all time. Whitt is very candid when it comes to teammates, management and the successes and failures of the team. A solid read. Someone needs to convince him to write another with all of his experience with Canada Baseball.

A reasonable synopsis of Ernie Whitt's career. He tends to jump from year to year with notice making it a little difficult to read. Too bad he didn't last to win a World Series.

Nice biography of Michigan native and Toronto Blue Jays All Star. Book caused a minor controversy in Toronto at the time but the passage of time has lost some of that impact. Something for the collector to have.

Short and pedestrian biography, really only of interest to anyone who was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays in the mid 80's. At least Ernie Whitt comes across as slightly more likable than Dave Stieb.
