Took an OTA introductory class at my college and having already had experience with OT this book was useful in giving me the history because i never had to know that before. It did an excellent job of explaining the concepts and gave lots of real life examples throughout the book. There were lots of charts and bolded areas that made the book easier to study.
It does a good job in offering a primer into what occupational therapy seeks to do, its history, the lifespans, and what it thinks the direction of OT should focus on.
I used it during my first term of university, and it put me in good stead for what to expect from the practical OT process. I would definitely say I was able to keep up in earlier modules because of this book.
