Busy marketing consultant Summer Harrison is focused on her career and enjoying the rewards of her hard work. No one needs to know that she plays the field because her past relationships have left her terrified of having her fragile heart broken again.

Preferring superficial relationships thanks to a tragedy in his past, NHL superstar Ryan Roberts has traded scoring goals on the ice for scoring gigs with his band in the sultry Florida Keys. Fun-loving Summer is just what he's looking for, but they connect on a level far deeper than either of them could have expected.

Can two people committed to avoiding commitment find their way to a lasting love? Or will the mistake that still haunts Ryan and the person who wants to
punish him for it destroy their chance at happiness?

After 26 years in Corporate leadership at a Fortune 500, I discovered people within the organization lacked integrity. I’d always known deep in my soul that I was trying to fit a square peg in to a round hole since I’m the typical creative type. I miss my staff but I don’t miss the corporate world. It’s been said that the Universe will let you know if something isn’t right for you. The first time, it will hit you with a pebble. Then a brick. Then a boulder. Let’s just say that I got flattened. When my fifteen pound toy dog, Nigel, was threatened, I knew it was time to say goodbye.
It’s true.
Here’s what I found within the first thirty days of being free. Writing stories from my heart that readers love means more to me than working myself in to an early grave for people who only care about their bottom line.
My heart has never been more full and my soul has never been more satisfied.
I’ve never worked so hard in my life but it doesn’t even feel like work. It’s worth it. All of it. Because it’s about the joy that’s found within the journey. The highs and the lows because I get to write stories for all of you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, enjoying and recommending the stories that I write. When you share my work with others, nothing is more rewarding. Your word of mouth is my very best friend … that, and your reviews. There is nothing more important to me than all of you.
I love to hear from my readers and answer all communications personally. You can find me at:

This book is the 2nd in the Dangerous Pasts series. This book picks up where the first one left off.

In this book we read more about Summer and Ryan. They both were the love them and leave them type, not wanting a commitment of any kind. That is until they fell for each other.

While the romance is blooming between Summer and Ryan there is a mystery stalker on the loose bringing up something from Ryan’s past he never truly got over.

What I love the most about this series is that it fits into more than one genre. You have the romance of Summer and Ryan but you also have the mystery of who the stalker is. Both aspects are written so beautifully they just mend together in a way that just feels natural.

I can’t wait to read the 3rd book Stacking the Deck. I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

Song of the Keys is the 2nd book in the Dangerous Pasts series - you will find it beneficial to read CLOSING THE GAP before reading this one. Since this book picks up where the first one left off, that will help you make more sense out of this book.

In this book we get to know more about Summer and Ryan. While their romance is blooming, there is a mystery stalker --- oh wait, I don't write spoilers, so I will stop there and say that you just have to read the book to find out exactly what happens!!!

This book is definitely another one of those ---- I can't put this book down until I finish, so make sure you have time to devote to reading when you start - lol

From the suspense, to the yummy hero to the author's intelligent and sarcastic sense of humor, this book had everything that makes me happy to curl up on a chilly, winter afternoon. The hero was flat-out yummy, well developed and swoon worthy. Not knowing who was stalking him kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. And that scene in the bathroom at the Pink Monkey ... OMG! It was so vivid and intense it was like I was there with Summer. I wonder if that scene was based on the author's personal experience, LOL!

Out of every storm, comes a rainbow.......It might not have started the way they wanted it to, but Summer and Ryan wouldn't change any part of their path for anything. Ryan has always been the one to protect everyone else, but who will look out for him when he is the one that needs the protecting? It is his lady in disguise.....Summer Harrison. Their path to a relationship had plenty of twists and turns in it, but it only made them love and appreciate each other all the more. A stalker and a hurricane couldn't even phase these two lovebirds!

Talk about intense from start to finish! There are very few moments in this book where Ryan's past isn't rearing its ugly head. There wasn't too much about Summer's past until the end, but it's amazing how well the characters fit with each other. Another stalker, an advancing hurricane, and two people too stubborn to admit their feelings! It was great to see Lake and Josh again and wonderful to meet new characters.

This book is a wonderful blend of steam, suspense, humor, drama and romance. Summer and Ryan are a fun couple. Their chemistry is hot and their attraction sizzles. I think it's always fun when the characters are just blindsided by unexpected feelings and in this case you get that x's 2. This is a very enjoyable romantic suspense read that keeps you engaged and on the edge of your seat. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review.

I loved this tense and romantic storyline it introduces Summer happy go lucky on night stands and Ryan who stays away from any serious relationship but when the meet their chemistry is undeniable. The story has suspense and drama by introducing a stalker into the mix. Kudos to the author for storyline that entertained.

Betrayal

I loved reading the story of Ryan and Summer as they find each other as well as battle Ryan’s demons. The most terrifying demon turns out to be one of his long time friends. I couldn’t put this book down.

Love and mystery in the Keys

Summer is a wild child that generally uses her love em and leave em attitude to keep her heart safe. The tragedy from Ryan's past kept him from ever wanting to settle down. When these two headstrong hotties come together, it's epic! Throw in a hurricane, a crazed stalker and a plot twist I never saw coming, and this story kept me on the edge of my seat!
