This is a new author for me. I was excited to start the book. I have not read the other stories in series. The story was hard to follow because of mechanics. While reading I often felt like I was grading my students essays. I would like to see an error free copy of this book. My heart just won't let me share this book with students.
It has qualities that I want for my readers:
No strong negative language-cursing
Demonstration of cultural differences (race, social)
Family unity and love
Family that express love and respect of Christian heritage
Variety of occupational differences in family.
Health awareness

Again, I think an error free copy should be printed. It may cost financially but I think more people would appreciate reading the story without grammar errors.

Ok Read

This author has good storylines but her grammar sucks. I sometimes had to read something 2 or 3 times for it to make sense. If she invests in a good editor, she would be awesome.

There is always a Chance

I love the stories; even though they all have the same plot and are predictable, it is a enjoyable read. BUT, the editing of these books has got to get better. It ruins the flow of the story.

Hinton 5

Great series! Ms. Melinda did a wonderful job with this entire series. This book on Pearl & Chance was an eye opener on different levels. Enjoyed all the twists in the story from beginning to end. Keep up the good work but have the editing team do better.

Very Good

This was a very good story line. This whole series has been very good except for the spelling errors. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

I couldn't believe how many typos this book has!! Whatever happened to editing a book before it's released?! This book has so many errors that it made it difficult to enjoy, not to mention the way she wrote Pearl's story made her seem weak! She was stronger in the other books, so why make her desperate and gullible? There is no way she would have asked a guy she barely knew to move in with her! And she supposedly liked him a lot but she was over him pretty quick because she was able to become deeply in love with her childhood crush in a matter of what 2 days?!!
If I had of purchase this book I would demand the author to return my money!!! Very disappointed in her!!!!!!

Love The Hinton Family

The only thing stopping this from being a 5 star rating is the editing. This is a book about family love for each other and what they will do to protect each other at any cost. It's also about the love that Chance have for Pearl whom both have had crushes for each other but never but never did anything about it until Chance finds out that Pearl life is in danger. I hate to see this series in and hope that Author Melinda L will continue with the next generation of the Hinton Family.

Horrible

There were too many spelling bang grammar errors. I only made it to 40% of the book. Too many characters to keep up with. Read like Jesus lineage in the old testament Spoiler alert! What grown A woman allows a man to move into her home after only going out on two dates?. She didn't allow him to pick her up for said dates at her home. She has a family riddled with law enforcement officers and not once did she think to run a background check! Really who does that?. Glad it was free.

Great read

I've read all the installments of the Hinton family. I love all their story lines. The only problem I have with Pearl's story is the grammar usage and spell check. I found myself adding words that were missing and it became a bit distracting. I did want to know where they went for their honeymoon. I feel like the story could've used more explanation. Other than that, everything was great!

Great series

The Hinton Family series was a great series... believable secondary characters as well
Pearl story started off all over the place at first, but finally came together. Minor spelling errors, however the story still flowed. Hate to see the series come to and end, hope the author picks up with Gloria's and Katherine's stories, followed by the Z cousins too.

Great

I can't believe this is the last book. I fell in love with the Hinton's. This book was a great way to
End this series but write about uncle Tommy three sons.

Change is good

One of the best family stories I have read in some time. Pearl and Chance took a chance on each other and found happy ever after.
