Riveting...stereotaxic coordinates have never been so comellingly outlined, at least to my knowledge. If you think you know something about the rhesus monkey brain (aside from the garbage they teach you in high school) this book will expand your knowledge a quadrafold. The plot, of course, is a little difficult to follow, but one expects that from contemporary novels that push the envelope of mainstream form. All in all, a very satisfying (and somtimes genius) piece of historical fiction.
