What happened after Corey's suicide? Why they didn't kill Sabrina? Is the town of Sereno Valley still prospering? What happened with Detective Reeves murder? Why did Sabrina survive only to join the FBI, but not to get justice immediately for her friends? It's like she got a pass to live her life on the sacrifice of others after all. And if the rituals are done in other cities involving Hess's ancestors and kin how far is this fuckery spread? There need to be more to this Jacob. You can't leave a loyal reader with all these questions!

This is not a thriller. The description says it is, but there is no real tension. It's clear the author tried to create tension, but it doesn't work. Everything is telegraphed well in advance.

The main character is unbelievable. Everything she does is golden (though there is an obvious reason). She meets the exact people she needs to know and has all the right contacts.

The book isn't bad, but I was expecting so much more from it.
