New Moon Beach is a charmed hamlet by the sea, but when Olivia Merriman returns home after college to open her dream shop, Mystical Creations, the town becomes downright magical. Reunited with her sorceress sisters, Constance the baker and Harmony the mayor, Olivia is sure that she will forget Jonathan Maxwell, the man who broke her heart. As enchanting as her prospects seem, someone is brewing up a plan to ruin Olivia's happiness. A fancy resort is going to be built right on her beach and threatens to ruin her shop. When Olivia finds out that Jonathan is right in the middle of the meddling, she takes matters into her own hands. Not known for her spell-casting talents, Olivia not only brings a halt to the resort construction but ends up stopping the whole town of New Moon Beach in its tracks. There's only one thing Olivia can do - set things right with one more try at a little morning magic.

Olivia Merriman is a witch. Her sisters and father are all witches. Her best friend is a witch. But the truth is, they are all better at spells than Olivia. She thinks she can do a spell and afterwards finds out how wrong her spell has gone...and unfortunately that seems to be the rule, not the exception!

Olivia opens a crafts shop in a building she was left in her godparent's will. With hard work it is soon ready to open, and her best friend, Gail, is going to be working with her. Gail is much better at spells than Olivia, so she does what is needed along those lines at the shop for her boss and best friend. Thus a wonderful business is opened and they are soon busy with craft classes, sewing, and customers. Before long Olivia learns about a hotel that might be built on the beach and impact her business and home, and probably her sister's business as well. Unexpectedly her ex-boyfriend comes to town and tries to apologize to Livy and start dating her again.

There is resistance from Olivia on many issues, and more spellmaking that goes dreadfully wrong. Her father (mostly absentee from her life) comes back to town and makes things uncomfortable for her and her sisters. Olivia is pure in intent and manages to run the store successfully while causing problems regarding the hotel. In a fun read, solutions to many problems become apparent. Ghosts are recognized, dreams are expanded, and previous disasters may just work out after all.

I recommend this witchy tale that is fun and has a romantic twist as well. I like the way the witchcraft is included but not in an outlandish way. This is the first of 4 in the series (thus far) and well worth reading! I will be reading more for sure!

Great. Loved it, must read!!

In this book, you will have a great time reading, you will fall in love with some character's and hate or dislike other's. Its a real treat from other witch stories. I'd have everyone buying this book. The writing skill in this story is so awesome, every word matching what the character is capable of being plus more. Love and hate in all families are like in this book. There is true life feelings going on with these character's. You will love this unique story..

Romance starts with cheating partner

This has a horrible romance story in it! The main lead has just opened a shop but has a broken heart due to the ex- boyfriend who cheated a few times. The whole “romance” of him coming to town and them trying to get back together isn’t written well, leaves gaps, and isn’t clear why she does what she does most of the time with him. The romance has failed before it’s started, why would you write about it?

I would have thought there would be more about the magic and witches being in the same town, but you only meet the family. The spells they use are interesting and creative.

I honestly would have rated this 3 stars because I enjoyed the story. However, the grammatical errors were a huge distraction for me. I just wanted to get out a red pen.

Charming Tale With a Bit of a Cliffhanger!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a delight visiting the witches of New Moon Beach. The characters are charming, the ghosts and cat familiar are fun and sassy, Gail is the kind of witch that everyone would be happy to have as their friend, and the locations near the beach are wonderful! Except for the cliffhanger, it was a wonderful story which I thoroughly recommend.

A fun and interesting book

You meet Olivia, Constance, Harmony who are sisters, Olivia's best friend Gail and the sisters father. You also meet Jonathan, Olivia's former boyfriend. This is about a family who have businesses and are trying to protect their part of New Moon Beach. It's a little crazy and is fun mostly with a bit of sadness.

Read and enjoy.

Cute premise but there were some grammar errors that I couldn't get over. Quick, easy read but it felt simplistic. overall not an awful read but I felt it could have been better

Fun

Fun and exciting read. Quirky and easy, fun and exciting. Little romance and family members are supporting and loving. Anxiously waiting for the next book.
