November 26, 20164 1/2 Stars -- Highly Recommended To Pet Lovers And Especially Those Who Have Lost A Loving Pet!
Due to the large number of books I have waiting to read I don't usually accept offers from self-published/independent authors to review their books. However, when Lawrence Paz contacted me, the subject matter of his book appealed to me so much that I not only accepted his offer, I put Hairy's Ultimate Adventure at the top of my TBR list.
I'm very glad that I did!
As can be seen in the book description above, Hairy's Ultimate Adventure, a 62-page fictional fantasy, is a heartwarming story that will quite often bring a smile to your face (and occasionally a tear to your eyes) as it while brings comfort and hope to all pet lovers who have ever lost a pet. I think you'll find that the story will help alleviate your pain of loss and will help remind you of the precious memories and pleasures that your own pet brought you.
In this fantasy, Hairy, a Springer Spaniel, drifts from his earthly life and floats weightlessly across the bands of rainbow light. I very much enjoyed the premise of this book; although I should point out that the author just does a serviceable job in terms of character development and plotting. For me, this wasn't much of an issue because what I was looking for in this short fantasy, and had delivered to me, was the "feel good' nature of the book's concept -- which would be nice to believe has some basis in fact!
Do yourself a favor and get a copy of Hairy's Ultimate Adventure so that you, too, can enjoy the lively adventures of Hairy and his siblings: Hunter, the natural leader of the family; Miss Belle, a black Lab and unifying force in the family; Hobo, a dachshund, was quite the wanderer on earth; Sage, a wise cat, plays the role of a tour guide and facilitates the story narrative.
