Rate this book
Multi- authored anthology of short stories and original poetry designed to inspire hope and healing in families affected by child loss at any age. The catalyst behind forming this anthology was to celebrate an individual's ability to persevere in the face of extreme emotional duress. The stories are poignant retellings, mostly because many of them come from first-hand experiences. The endings will leave you cheering for the protagonists and feeling an overwhelming sense of optimism that perhaps there really is a grand plan predestined for us all. We only have to find that small glimmer of hope in the everyday in order to overcome whatever troubles are thrown our way. We will and can find healing despite loss. If you only allow yourself to be open to life's unexpected Detours In Our Destinations!

Detours In Our Destinations An Anthology To Inspire Hope & Healing by #Detours Crew (13 Indie Authors) Co- Creators Rainbows of Happiness LLC & Indie Editing Services is a collection of short stories and original poems from 13 various authors whose anthology proceeds are donated to the group 3Hopeful Hearts to help families affected by childless.

So one would think this anthology would encompass stories about child loss, infertility and be sad right? Wrong! While there are stories about the two topics mentioned this anthology also includes real life issues such as loss of a spouse or parent, dealing with rare health conditions, and even feelings of personal inferiority. The difference between this anthology and other self help or help improvement anthologies is that each short story seeks to show the perseverance and strength of the human spirit to rise above these challenges and find a sense of positivity despite these issues. Each short story in Detours In Our Destinations is emotionally poignant allowing the reader to truly empathize with the author as they tell their tale and to triumph with them as the story winds down to a sort of HEA ending.

The characters in the stories in Detours In Our Destinations are relatable to the everyday individual with many of the stories coming right from the lives of the actual authors. This let's the reader see that no one's life is perfect we all have our own struggles and helps unite the reader and authors somewhat. The anthology gives a sense of hope to those that felt alone in their suffering, letting them know there always a friend to reach out to on the road of life in in path to healing. Together we can heal as one.

If you have not had a chance to read Detours In Our Destinations An Anthology To Inspire Hope & Healing by Rainbows of Happiness LLC & Indie Editing Services or know someone who would benefit from these beautiful stories of hope and healing please share it! Awesome stories! Sad but uplifting. Having lost a daughter in 1979, I could identify with the emotions of many of the characters. I wish I could have read this back then. Maybe it would have helped me cope. It was so hard! Although I still feel sadness when thinking of her, I have been blessed with 4 sons & many grandchildren. It was a detour in my destination but my eventual destination was a good one.

This anthology is an uplifting collection of stories that make the reader believe in the power of love and life again. I enjoyed reading each author's specific viewpoint on what it means to find strength in times of hardship. I especially loved the story by D.A. Roach. I very much appreciate her style of writing and the way she uses words to paint the story in the reader's mind. The content of the story was also very engaging and encouraging. Overall, I would recommend this anthology to readers who want to know a little bit more about what finding happiness means to those who have suffered through great losses in their lives.
