According to his colleague, David Wheeler the only solution was to marry Ashaki and get her out of the country. There were several problems with this Oliver was no knight in shining armor and didn't want to be. His friend, David wanted Ashaki for himself as soon as his marriage was over, and most of all, Oliver was afraid that if he got to her know her better she would end up being his Scarlett bride for real.

Intriguing from beginning to end. The fight for freedom from all of the and was both beautiful and nerve wracking. I got so tired of David! I found myself wishing he would just go away. The end was very surprising... I didn't see that coming! Great story, can't wait read the next one!
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Oliver and Ashaki’s love story began in the Congo as a marriage of convenience. In Jamaica, the Scarlett family are still reconnecting with each other, and continue to search for Pete Scarlett. I look forward to the next installment.
This book was shocking, surprising, extraordinary and inspiring! The entire series is great reading. Many surprises and twists made this book a successful part of the, "The Scarletts" series. Most intriguing is the changes "Ricky" and his discussion with "David" at his hotel. Good introduction to the next book.
Scarlett Bride is an excellent read. As I read Brenda Barrett's books, I fall in love with the characters. I love Ashaki in this book. She went through a lot to get to where she was in life. Sometimes, someone have to push you into her destiny just as David did for Ashaki and Oliver. I loved Oliver's character and how laid back he was about his love for Ashaki. This is a good read for anyone who wants to hide into the confines of Jamaica and Treasure Beach. Even though this is a fiction book, Brenda takes you into a world that makes a person want to be a part of....in Jamaican lands......
