this was an interesting, thought provoking, inspiring and sometimes depressing read. it certainly kept me reading long into the last few nights. having spent some of my childhood in arnhem land i could empathise with some of her helplessness in the face of the racism the aborigines suffered. i found her will to continue especially awe inspiring. i will look at the aboriginal paintings in the art galleries and museums with even more interest in their background.
