I can't help be amazed at the gifts God has delighted me with - a wonderful husband, four amazing children, and the opportunity to write for Him.

I've been writing as long as I can remember - I won my first book writing contest in first grade! Over the years, writing has become, for me, a way to praise God and see Him at work in my life.

Although I have a degree in Mass Communications from the University of MN, my real writing experience started when I penned the The Warren Report - a bi-monthly newsletter that detailed our ministry highlights.

Living in Russia meant I never lacked for great material - and those experiences naturally spilled out first into devotionals and magazine articles and finally into my first published story, "Measure of a Man," in the Tyndale/HeartQuest, Chance Encounters of the Heart anthology.

Susan and husbandI grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. My favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota - it's where I met my husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living. The north woods easily became the foundation for my first series, The Deep Haven series.based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. I have to admit - I'm terribly jealous of Mona, the heroine of my first full-length book, Happily Ever After, a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.

Our family moved home from the mission field in June 2004 -- and now we live in the beautiful town I'd always dreamed of! God has amazed me anew with His provision, and blessings -- and allowed me a season when I can write full time for Him.

I 'm delighted you've stopped in to visit. My hope is that you'll be blessed and encouraged by soul-stirring stories of regular people interacting with a God who loves them.

I'd love to hear from you! I love getting mail, especially from readers and I welcome your questions and comments. Write to me at susan@susanmaywarren.com. And, if you're interested, sign up for my newsletter, a quarterly sneak peek into upcoming releases and projects. Thank you for your interest and support.

God Bless and Happy Reading!

In His Grip,
Susan May Warren

I just finished "take a chance on me"Main caracters are Ivy and Darek, who both have to find their way back home to God. There are also some side caracters like Claire and Jensen who also have to find their way back to God. They all have in common that they want through hard times but all in a different way. Without telling to much of the story: Ivy really finds a home with the Christiansen family and the rest finds their way back home to God. I liked the most about the book that I want to finish it because I really wanted to know what would happen next. And second in the story there are truths told about God in a way that you almost don't notice it. It's like you are joining a conversation so it does not sound like a lecture. More like something a mother or father could tell you. Or an "older" brother or sister in Christ.
When I started with " it had to be you" I immediately thought about this Bible verse. "The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
Mark 12:31 NLT" Because I strongly had the feeling that Eden loves others more than herself. During the story there are more persons in my vision who don't understand this verse really well. The story is nice and the lesson in it really important. God loves you because we are His children with the talents and mistakes we have. So try not to be someone else. The author mentions in the end that the book is about letting go of your children and trusts them tot the Lord. After reading the book I understand why she says that but for me the most important lesson is still Mark 12:31
just finished when I fall in love with you. I liked the cooking part really much because I like to cook myself. But what impressed me the most is the fact that Grace sees in even the bad things a gift of God. So she can fall in love with Max even though he has a terrible illness. She dares to take that step together with God. What a difference with Owen who acts like everyone takes away the good things from him, and is angry at the world, instead of trusting God. And he is hurting a lot of people. I am really wondering how it will be going with Casper and Raina, both hurt because of Owen's actions
Just finished the rest of the series. What can I say? I Just love This family. The last parts of the series I find hard toe retell allthough I know perfectly welk what they are about. The farther I went into the series the more I felt a part of the family. Just Read thuis book. It is really amazing

I loved this 6 book series. Each book has its own unique story line but the Christiansen family members are all mentioned in each of the books so you get to know and love the entire family. I liked a couple of the books better than others but over all loved the series. You experience all kinds of situations as you read this series, including a murder mystery, as each child in the family finds love and learns more about God and His faithfulness.

This family!

Oh, my stars. I love this family. I devoured this entire collection of all 6 siblings’ stories and am sad to reach the end. Each story is completely unique, and yet subplot threads are perfectly woven through, tying them all together. Deeply moving stories, pain, heartache, illness, unplanned pregnancies, family tension and drama, running and regret, all richly told while emphasizing the love of Father God and His great gift of grace.

Hours of Amazing Reading

This collection of books grabbed and compelled me to keep reading, couldn't wait to start the next story. The Christiansen Family Collection is a real, reading value. You won't be sorry for buying these books, all in one volume. Read the back cover blurbs to grab a sense of what these tales are about lest this reader gives away too much. Let's just say I love everything about Susan May Warren's novels.

Intriguing excellent series

Susan May Warren pulled me into The Christensen family in the first chapter of the first book. There are 6 books in this series and I am so grateful to read them all together. I've stayed up late, snuck in chapters while at work, thought about this crazy, loving family in the middle of the night wanting to read while knowing I should sleep. One of the best series I've ever read.

Really enjoyed this series and all the siblings. Would recommend the novella about the parents before beginning. The second book was definitely my favorite, but I loved the first and last books as well. Goodbye to the Christiansens.....

Thumbs up!

Loved it! Loved the romance. Although I prefer more suspense, I found this complete series to be a page turner.

Oh my!
Although I have already reviewed each book in this series, I wanted to come here and make a general review of this collection. I believe that I went through this entire collection in less than a month and honestly, that is proof of how good these books are. Each story, yes each challenge faced by the characters propels you to reflect on your personal life and wonder what you could be doing better in matters of trust in God and basic kindness and decency. And, to me, that is what books are all about, especially Christian ones. I want to read something that will allow me to escape yes, but will also motivate me to be better and to do better.
I have truly fallen in love with this amazing family. While I did prefer some stories to others, I think that there is something in there for each person out there to relate to. As I have said multiple times in the past as I reviewed Susan May Warren, her books speak to me because they discuss faith in depth.
To conclude, as the end of the year draws ever closer, I hope to keep in mind and echo the words of the quote below:
"Our God is one who brings the prodigals home, gives children to the barren, heals the sick, redeems the sinners, gives us purpose, and fills our world with family and love. This I know to be true, and we will not forget it in the days ahead.”
