This book is a very good book for learning the basics of Korean. It gives you basic sentences and words. It gives you the words in sentences so you have to think about how they are used in conversation. There are comics and tables to show you grammar rules. The book gives you a really good standard and strong grip of the basics but I wouldn’t use it as your only source of learning. All of the dialogues made sense and followed this guy around in his life. Denfinelty worth it if you want a good grip of Korean basics.

3.5 stars The explanation/ cultural parts are good, but wish there were more. The book is good for finding phrases or words to point to , but maybe a little better for someone who has at least a basic understanding of the language already. Some of the phrases can be confusing because they have several choices and don't always make it clear.
