I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. Love the art, but the subject matter is a bit on the odd side. Fingers in a ziplock bag? Not sure this fits my idea of relaxing coloring material, but for the right person, maybe so... The prose choices left me scratching my head. I think I wandered into a world I did not understand -- and probably don't want to.

I received this book through a goodreads giveaway.

This coloring book has a very high quality cover. The paper inside however is not as nice as some adult coloring books. I have not tried to use water colors or other paints on it yet, but I suspect that the paper will not handle that well. However if you only use colored pencils and use a light hand with markers the paper should do ok. I have not read the stories the coloring book is based on, but I liked that each picture has a quote to go with it. I think that this coloring book might inspire someone to go and read the stories that the illustrations are based on.

Please be aware that this coloring book does not have the defined lines of traditional coloring books. The images are more like black and white sketches that you can color compared to other coloring books. I liked that aspect as it sets this coloring book apart from other coloring books I own, however some people may not like the undefined sketchy lines. I especially liked the almost zentangle aspect that a few of the images had. I look forward to coloring more images within this book. This is a good coloring book for someone looking for a different style of coloring book.
