There are some great stories in this novel. Many stories from different locations. Many parallels in reported behaviors although from various places. One giant glaring point is missing. We live in an amazing technicolor world. 99% of humans in the US have a phone with camera. And the cameras are exquisite! So. Why has no one recorded a clear photo? Four stars because when you take it upon yourself to publish a book with stories that are not your own... why have you not hired an editor? Represent Melissa! Respect to all the authors. I read. I highlight. I report content errors. I pay for a book to read. I expect an occasional error. Please consider cleaning up some stories. You have great stories to tell. Pick this book. Read this book.
This was a wonderful compilation of true stories! If there is one thing you can take away from this it is DO NOT feed the bears…er Bigfoot! The last account ended in disaster due to the people deciding to quit feeding the Bigfoot and they retaliated against the humans. I have read several accounts of this happening when the humans quit feeding them. So we need to be aware of this and never start in the first place. These are still wild animals and as such are unpredictable and add to that they are so big to start with. I definitely would not want something that big mad at me!
I really enjoyed this book. All the stories were very interesting, with a few being pretty spooky. I will for sure have to read more of Ms.George's books.
I have read most of Melissa George's books and they are always fascinating reads. This particular book is a unique point of view rarely encountered. This book focuses on women's encounters with Bigfoot. A few have been noted in one of Melissa's earlier books and are repeated here. They are still no less engrossing. It is indeed brave of the ladies to share their stories. While some are Bigfoot researchers, others are not. The stories run from brief encounters to frightening ones. It is a must read for any Bigfoot enthusiast. As always, if you wish to research on your own, it is wise to follow Melissa and Cari's advice, these are wild creatures who should be treated with respect. If you live in a habitation area, the decision to feed them carries great risk, as noted in my favorite tale. If you start, never stop unless you move away. I look forward to more of Melissa's stories of encounters.
