I’m not into marking travel books as read, BUT I found this book extremely useful while in Havana.
Finding any type of Wifi spot is a pain and sometimes the internet won’t even work (too many users, can connect to the network but not have internet etc). So until Cuba gets actual wide-spread internet across the country, this book can be the next best thing if you’re planning a trip to Havana.
We used it to pick where we would eat in the evening with our tour group (6-10 people) and we were never let down with the choices. We also found the recommendations at the beginning about what to see as a good first route that you would normally plan using something like TripAdvisor.
It also has recommendations for best places to take a photo (Malecón sure, but also a jazz bar with a phone booth entrance, a boxing club etc). And also the best places to listen to music classified by style.
It’s ace.
